Sanwo-Olu To Commission Roads In Agege, Igando, Ikotun by Lanrelagboi(op): 5:45am On Jul 02, 2025
To further demonstrate an unwavering commitment to bringing relief to residents and motorists, through the provision of infrastructure for economic development across the nooks and crannies of the State, the Lagos State Government will formally commission the reconstructed Abaranje Road in Igando- Ikotun Local Council Development Area and Babajide Sanwo Olu (Old Dopemu) Road in Agege Local Government Area on Wednesday, 2nd July, 2025.

The projects are additions to the 36 roads and five bridges already delivered to Lagosians this year.

The Sanwo-Olu administration continues to create sustainable communities, improve connectivity, and provide effective bypasses to ease traffic gridlocks, just as it gives priority to the completion of new and ongoing projects despite the tough economic terrain.

The old Dopemu Road is a strategic bypass that traverses Agege and Alimosho Local Governments, linking Akowonjo Road, Old Ipaja Road, and Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway.

The road infrastructure also passes through Abaranje Road in Igando-Ikotun Local Council Development Area - a strategic route that serves many communities in Igando, one of the largest settlements in the Alimosho Local Government Area.

The projects have improved road connectivity, eased traffic flow, reduced travel time, eliminated perennial flooding and enhanced transportation along the route.

Lagosians will experience increased commercial activity and enhanced economic well-being as a result of the improved road network provided for smoother transportation.

Governor Sanwo-Olu’s administration will continue to upgrade old roads and build new ones for the benefit of residents in fulfilment of his promise to Lagosians.

There is no inter LGA road that can be credited to this present ogun govt that I know of. Attention should be given to communities along the lagos-Ibadan axis and Lagos-Abeokuta area. Mowe, Ibafo, Ifo, ETC should be seen as areas that can propel the state into a greater fortress of industrialization and commercial activities. We just need a thinking Governor.

They commission roads and that's all it takes to be a governor. Meanwhile, when are they going to commission all the stolen wealth of the masses kept in their personal account.

At the end of it all, no naira or dollar will be buried along with you when you eventually leave this earth Sir.

Continue deceiving yourself thinking you're wise

There is nothing to celebrate here because Lagos need much more than this so the governor should not rest on his laurels.

It is only in Abia you celebrate gutter n 300 metres road n We will continue to expose your deceit n hypocrisy.

We will not leave Abia alone because your tribeamen never lefr Lagos Oyo Ogun Osun Ekiti Kwara alone. You will be paid in your coin in full

Let the Abians celebrate the achievements of thier governor in peace. You trying to belittle the achievements of that humble governor shows you are part of the evil in the country.

Otti was able to do more with little, that should be commendable. The Lagos state government does little when he has more. That is the difference.

I am a detribalised Nigerian who have lived and invested virtually in all parts of Nigeria and have seen things first hand, even now when i reside outside the country.

Lagos has more potential to do more than Abia state is presently doing.

Under Ambode, we saw and praised what he did in Lagos.

For Nigeria to be good, we need to hold the leaders responsible and stop playing the regressive tribal, religious and party politics.

I am a detribalised Yoruba man by the way.

A foolish man that goes about snapping before n aftsr of 300 metre road is whom you want us to celebrate. Even Dapo Abiodun you n your tribesmen insult daily as never stood in front of camera to celebrate road less than a KM.

See a shame wear you fof neck but you have no one to tell you. So suddenly because of Alex Otti failure Abia is as little ? Is Abia among the tpp 10 poorest states in Nigeria ?

Even Ekiti Osun Kwara all build bridge what as your Alex built beside gutter n 300 meter to 5KM of road that tou celebrate him ?!

He should have linked the road to Ijagemo road, precisely to Baptist bus stop for it to have better value, so that those going to Iba from there will not have to go through Ijagun, Igando.
