All due respect to the 1994 squad but they are bitter and envious of younger players for whatever reason unknown to the public. Other countries legends are more receptive and compassionate to their predecessors

🚨 Burnley are considering a deal to sign Genk striker Tolu Arokodare.

I will advise tolu to only move to established EPL clubs like Fulham,Everton, Forrest, Westham etc

Emenalo that majorly played in an unpopular MLS US league way back o! See how the guy reinvented himself to where he is today. You’ll almost forget he was an Eagles player unlike these ones that are still behaving as if they are still the current national team players awon abgayas!

You can't say almost all of them are bitter and envious,u can say some of them who did not accomplish much, envious maybe, but bitter is too strong a word to describe them like the guy you quoted.

Jay-Jay, Kanu have always been supportive and have always said nice things about our current players, guys like Emenalo are too busy.

I don't know Olisey's problem why he almost destroyed our team due to man management, but for Finidi,he looks like he struggled with insecurities even when he was much accomplished player.
They both wanted to stamp authority in a wrong way.

Siasia used to be such a nice guy up until now.

Apart from Oliseh, Finidi, Amuneke and Siasia which you might have problems with,do they actually represent almost all of them?

Honestly Finidi disappointed me as he was the least person I would have imagined, from his days as an eagles player he had that reputation of a quiet guy, never heard any mention of indiscipline from him as a player. I don’t understand what happened. They all forget that the coaches in their own days as players managed all their excesses and weaknesses for all the accomplishments they had.

One thing that I have noticed with Nigerians is that when they like you, they will become biased. Mikel obi has been attacking everyone from our federation, NFF and even his family members on his podcast and no one has counseled him. Mind you, people treat you how you treat yourself and if you keep attacking your own publicly, don’t become surprised when foreigners attack you. Now, it seems like Siasia is prepared for a GBAS GBOS and you’re scolding siasia. This is how starboy referred to himself as a “coconut head” on twitter and became irate when Napoli referred to him as a “Coconut head”. In this life, how you make your bed is how you will lay on it

Our guys dem should get more busy than all these busybody all the place, not everyone will become coaches, I like Ifeanyi Udeze at brila sports no matter what you think he’s more occupied than to be saying rubbish all over the place. With their huge historical career profile there are so much diverse opportunities out there our ex players should take advantage of instead of all these chochocho all over the place.

Look at Mikel he’s running down gracing huge international sports studios as an analyst for big games.

Your own is to always take sides with those that are defaming people whether they are right or wrong. That’s how you took sides against Lookman when his coach racially abused him. Kotinu!

I remember how some of us here even bashed Mikel for being too critical on Nico Jackson after his red card during the ongoing club world cup but lai lai na wetin you wan see you must see

Well ,I won’t exonerate others from what Charles accuse those 4 ex players(finidi, amunike, siasia and oliseh) of talking down on dis present super eagles players

Aside eguavoen,if u notice ,those 4 have one thing in common,Dey have coached d national team in various capacities, hence Dey re closer to the players and dey get to c some certain things we d fans are not privilege to know.

I think what stand out for eguavoen is his level of maturity and man management.Mikel also confirmed this in one of his interviews dt eguavoen was the best manager he ever worked with in d super eagles because he treats dem with respect and dignity.he went as far as comparing eguavoen style of management with that of carlo ancelotti in terms of man management.

So u can’t tell if other players mentioned too might act like d aforementioned 4 ex coaches if Dey have the opportunity to coach the senior national team or any oda under age team..we can’t also rule
Out d frustration to work with nff. It’s not easy working with such a disorganised body..the frustration and disrespect one will receive might influence deir attitude towards dis players

In their own case we must rule out the frustration. These guys played for Eagles, fought with the NFF at different times so they understand. Infact Oliseh and Finidi were banished from the team before the 2002 WC, so they are customer daadaa to NFF.

Ikpeba has not coached too but he’s one of those who talked down on this generation of players. If Eguavoen stands out then it speaks to his kind of person and character. I remember his bust up with Aiyegbeni I just wonder if na siasia or oliseh dem for tear Aiyegbeni big slap 👋

All said and done I also feel Mikel need to calm down on his bashing the nff especially as it relates to his past experience with the national team. I don’t feel too comfortable with his bashing the nff in front of other ex internationals from Europe. Though that was not enough for all siasia said especially as I remember Mikel never said anything negative of siasia. Nff is an organisation but attacking personalities unnecessarily is just too petty and immature

realpoacher:
You are the one that always demean Osimehn's performance even after folks here have drawn your attention to injuries affecting his performance at some points in time.

So my question to you is simple, why bring in injuries as excuse for Tammy's woeful performance too?

The same injury you refused to accept in Osimehn's case

So you see?.... Your Admittance is the issue here

So who do you think is better between Tammy and Osimehn?... At least Osimehn has scored 26 goals in a Top 3 league in the world even if it's only once, has Tammy ever matched that record?... Except of course if you want to say that the English Championship is better than the Serie A.

Osimehn suffered a worse injury in 2021 breaking his facial and cheek bone. That injury is far lethal than any ACL Tammy must have picked up. His face was broken and his eyeballs popped out from his eye sockets.

He had 9 stitches and still wears masks till today. So what are you even saying.

You have a big problem, a very big one,... The least you can do is appreciate the efforts of those trying (even you don't rate them), before attempting to promote your preferences.

Since 2018, we have had this conversation about who is better between Tammy and Osimehn. We have given you practical reasons why Osimehn is better.

But in your self bigoted Bias and self centeredness, you have refused to admit that Osimehn have proven tremendously that he is far ahead of your innit' client.

Even though he is homebred, deprived of access to quality training environment earlier in life (like his other homegrown colleagues), people like you have turned yourself to "abroad village" people on his case. You have refused to see the hard work Osimehn has Putin to get to the level that he has.

FYI, ... Osimehn has more career goals than Tammy, more Series A goals than Tammy. So with or without your acknowledgement, the facts are in the open.
....................

All I see here is a proud hater of Osimehn and a very ignorant one at that.... I have your time and I will school you properly.
Is the subject who is better or you just created the narrative and essentially out of PREJUDICE & DISLIKE for Tega.

I talked about the demise of Tega and how he has ended up in retirement league, THAT'S ALL.

I didn't mention VO but you had to find a way to introduce the comparison but WHY.

That Nonsensical proposition based on wind and fresh air that I HATE ,your idol VO is birthed from what .

I have said many a time I think VO is an excellent striker but is simply not world class yet. That to be world class you have to hit 🎯 top excellent levels of performance continuously and consistently over time.

Players in his age range or even younger like Haaland and Mbappe as well as Lewondosky and Kane have done that over time.

But back 😞 to Tega and the topic of injury.

Injury is part of football ⚽ and how you manage it and prevent it crucial to your progression as a football ⚽ player. Consider Salah, Ronaldo, Semenyo, etc this has pushed them up being injury free.

You are bigoted hypocritical and misguided in your naked prejudice.

VO had several fractures hairline included to cheekbone and eye socket that required a plate and screws, terrible 😔 injury 🤕 what's the recovery time ⁉️one month he was back playing within two month's.

ACL injury recovery is 6-12 months even longer now getting match fitness after a year out can take a whole season. Consider Van Dyke after his ACL it has taken over two year's to get back to his top level performance.

Tega was injured June 2023 and returned with his first 10 minutes of football in April 2024. Missed essentially a whole season and to get match and sharpness much longer sometimes even never.

And you are comparing the two injuries, don't you see how bigoted you are . Because you want to present a false narrative that somebody hates your Idol VO.
