Former governor of Rivers State, Rotimi Amaechi, has berated the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, saying that he does not know why Wike disrespects him.

Amaechi dared the minister to take a walk with him from Abuja to Port Harcourt to prove his popularity.

He said,

“Let the Minister of the FCT come, let’s take a walk from the airport to Port Harcourt, no police, no army, nothing, just the two of us.

“I don’t know why he doesn’t respect people like us; I am older. I brought him up in politics. Who is he?”

The former governor said focusing on Wike would distract the opposition from making the masses know what the 2027 presidential election is really about.

Amaechi is loved in Rivers State more than Wike. Wike would have been a better option but greed, arrogance and kleptomaniacy overtook the guy. He feels he's the all in all in Rivers State. Wike has abused Traditional rulers both those who are same age with him and other, Wike has gone to a church to tell people "thunder fire them" without remorse, Wike grabbed people's lands in Port harcourt in the name of expansion and renovations etc. He used to be the new Bride in town but changed over night. I remember when Wike fought Amaechi tooth and nail that the former minister had to leave Rivers state for a while. Wike was loved but suddenly turned to a devil over night. The only people who love Wike now in Rivers State are those who feed from his table and those whom he has converted to his boys other than that nothing. Amaechi's 4 years is better than Wike’s 8years.

The other time, Chibuike was running around the stadium, today he wants to walk with Wike.

By next electoral circle, he will crawl with Peter Obi to show who can be a better servant to the North.

He did it several times as a sitting governor. This man came to my community with just bike. He visits schools without security and takes them unaware. Everyone has their good and bad side in life but the fact is that how did Nigerian politicians switch from public servants to demigods?
