The National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) has restored its National Identification Number (NIN) verification services across the country following the successful completion of system maintenance.

In a statement released on Friday and made available to Vanguard, the Commission announced that all previously disrupted services have now resumed.

“NIMC wishes to inform the general public that the recent technical maintenance has been completed and all services have been restored,” the statement read.

The Commission advised Nigerians seeking to enroll for NIN to visit its official website to locate the nearest enrollment centers. It also encouraged users to access the self-service portal for data modifications such as name changes.

Furthermore, NIMC urged the public to download the NIMC NameAuth app (oath.app) from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store to verify and authenticate their NINs.

The Commission expressed appreciation for the public’s patience and understanding during the temporary disruption in service.

It will be recalled that banks, telecom operators, and various government agencies relying on NIN verification had experienced service delays and disruptions over the past week, which affected their operations.

Nigerians should thank President Tinubu for his commitment to digital infrastructures. Just look at the great news, so now I can verify my NIN or enroll for a new one without stress. We are getting there gradually.

One government ministry that has failed woefully.
As important as data management is, this ministry has left it in the hands of all comers such that you can register at any place despite the security breach.
People pay as much as twenty thousand just to get their NInS and would spend weeks before capturing.
After these stress , one won't be given a permanent card, you still have to pay to get the plastic ID.
These guys travel to other countries and see how seamless these services are but can't replicate it in their own country .

With All These NlN Nonsense, Kidnappers & Bandits Still Make Calls & Collect Ransome With Being Tracked or Caught

Lies. U still need to either bribe your way thru an official. The useless app,never loads docs.once it does.it will show error.ive been on it for almost 8months.the self app is a scam

I just try logging in the response I got is invalid nin. Imagine nin I have been using on same app for years now. Just this morning invalid. Patami abi patani dey call him has some questions to ans

Why not go to the nearest NIMC state office, Close to you and do it. Did mine it reflected within 7days( note: after making the online payment and accompanying it with the necessary documents you need to grease palm if you know what I meant)

I just downloaded it and registered.
Very simple to do

Mr poster, tell them to stop the multiple OTP or whatever you call it for verification.
It's getting too cumbersome for someone to download his/her plastic card.
Moreso tell them to stop asking someone to pay often and often before downloading the Nintendo card from the portal.
It's getting too annoying.

I need the plastic card, when we they start issuing 2011 batch ??

The most useless agency in nigeria has to be the NIMC they can't even print a plastic card, their agents deliberately make mistakes during your registration so you can pay extra for modifications

Tell that to our customers....we've had to face the realities and fears of online businesses these past days
