Banks will always discourage you from investing in instuments that won't favour them much....

Banks makes their billions of profits from two major sources, DEAD CITIZENS AND NIGERIANS FINANCIAL IGNORANCE.

1) Dead citizens with huge funds in their bank accounts is a big boost for our banks in Nigeria, considering the high mortality rate in Nigeria at the moment.. Our banks makes it extremely difficult, if not impossible, for the families of a deceased person to access his/her money in their bank. Considering the fact that most Nigerians are very secretive with their state of finance, even to their immediate families. About 60% of the funds in our banks (Old generational banks in particular) are owned by dead citizens, whose families can no longer access these funds. Government should do more and pass effective laws that allows banks to release funds of dead citizens without frustrating their families to abandon the funds in their banks.

2) Nigerians Financial Ignorance: This one is self explanatory, in fact, the more you are ignorant about financial investments, the more billions of profits our banks would declare every year, despite their terrible networks and services. Going to banks to make enquiries on how to invest your money wisely is not a smart move, always do your financial research and educate yourself properly, and go to your bank and confidently tell them how you want to invest your hard-earned money in their possession.

Please what particular reason(s) did they give you as to why you shouldn't invest in TB?

Also the personal investment scheme they offered you, does it yield more than TB?

Thanks
They simply said the rates are low currently but there other schemes I could go I knew then they were interested in themselves.

In fact I'm experiencing issues with Gtfund Managers now. I have sent mail to them for redemption of my funds but no response and the redemption menu in their Site is not going. I called customer service severally, answering machine kept on talking all customer care .... are busy and my call credit was just burning
Hian. The way my belle turn as I see this . . Though I later noted the quoted post was made over 2yrs ago.

I'm aware GT had many issues in the beginning, but I thought it has been sorted out by now, since at least their site is functioning.

Hope it is sorted out soonest, and you get your funds

Abeg users of Stanbic bluenest, I tried to purchase TB through them, but noted it only provides the interest at maturity.

Pls is there no way to select upfront payment? That to me is actually the attraction of TB

For now upfront is not available with the app. Most of these apps always pay interest on maturity. At least I know three that do so.

Don't do investments with banks. They use your funds to come to the capital market. Make a profit and give you a fraction.

He is very correct..... If the beneficiary doesn't have POD or LOA, no money will be given to anyone. Banks don't recognize next of kin

According to the calendar for the third quarter of 2025, an auction will likely take place today.

Pls great investors I need an urgent response to this question of mine to enable me make a decision by tomorrow morning.🙏
I subscribed for primary market with first bank in this current bid that took place today.
Though I am yet to receive a debit alert.
I requested for reinvestment also.
However seeing this very low rate I am so discouraged and would like to head to the bank tomorrow to terminate.
Pls I need to know how that may affect my capital. This is also my first time subscribing for primary market and I did not fill any rate I just left that part blank
The rate is too low 🥺

You should wait and see if the subscription is successful or not. That will determine your next action. Should it be otherwise, you can terminate but there are consequences...

Pls it's the consequences that I need to know about. What possible consequences since it's still so fresh? Can it affect my capital? When am I expecting withdrawal? Like I said this is my first time subscribing to primary market.
Thanks
