It’s a global phenomenon.
Nobody wan gree for anybody. Everybody dey stand their ground. At the end of the day, all man go turn independent.

UK:
Conservative/Reform—Rupert Lowe, Ben Habib and their breakout movements.
Labour—new Jeremy Corbyn party. Zultana, Diane Abbott and all the rebels

US of A:
Republican Party/MAGA—Elon Musk, Tucker Carlson, Candace Owens and co.
Democratic Party—New Democratic Socialists: Bernie, AOC, Mamdani, and others.

Nigeria:
Opposition—PDP, LP, ADC, Sowore, and over 120 new parties applying to register for 2027.

This is the death of the party system IMO. The internet has made it easier to organise, and new movements are rising now more than ever before. Besides, people are realising that you’re actually voting for the person, not the platform.

For example, Donald Trump is not your traditional Republican. Same goes for Keir Starmer—Diane Abbott n co have questioned whether he even holds “Labour values.”

People are more invested in personalities now. Just my 2 cents.
I totally agree with you, the current labour govt ain’t Labour in any way 😂, it’s looking like Reform lite

jedisco:
He's pissed off alot of groups in his efforts to chase votes that may not vote for him.

The winter fuel payments characterised what governments have to deal with. Pensioners are not ready to give up a penny. Imagine if the triple lock was touched.

Once he reversed on winter fuel, groups against wellfare reform became emboldened and for the right reason.

In all, it's only his immigration reform that may stick and migrants dont have folks fighting for them. And as with many rapidly put up plans, there'd like be unforseen and unpalatable consequences that'd become obvious with time
That's political suicide na! The reason his party members are questioning his stance on Labour values and that we now see a spin-off of another party from the Labour party. At the end, they are dividing their votes for the opposition to win easily, like Labour benefited from the division of votes from the Tories.

Asides from the free school meals, VAT on school fees and perhaps expanding inheritance tax on farmers, I struggle to see the core labour values he's championing. Public funds are stretched and reduced migration/student numbers would sure put more pressure on public finances.
The retreats haven't looked good and he'd be careful to hold on to what's left of recent changes.

Someone called it a managed decline.

You have come this far, me I would gladly pay them £1000 for that replacement and get things sorted out fast. But hopefully you can get some better suggestion or you can try checking through his documents offline and online to see if you can find any clue. All the best.

Lolli2pop:
Hi Guys, please a quick question for those who have become british citizens through the spousal visa route. My husband is british and having obtained my ILR last year , i was now planning to apply for citizenship. The form is asking for my husband naturalisation certificate number. My husband became a citizen since 2014, so he literally replaced his certificate. We also don’t want to pay 500 for a replacement, so i was wondering if i could put in a value like N/A in the response and just suit his british passport alongside other documents.

I really wonder why they would ask for this certificate number and not passport number. Someone who has a passport surely definitely acquired a certificate at some point

Morning all,

Anyone got hacks for booking the practical driving test?

For two weeks straight now, I’ve been logging in just before 6am and there are over 8000 people ahead of me in the queue. I usually wait about 20 minutes, and by 6:30am, there are no test dates showing in any test centre I type in.

I’m honestly at my wits’ end. Any tips, please? Thanks ahead

7/7/2005....

20 years on....how time flies. May the souls of those lost in the attacks on that day, continue to rest in peace.

One of the most moving accounts was the public outpouring of grief from Marie Fatayi-Williams, the Nigerian mother who lost her only son - Anthony, a 26 year old oil executive - in the bus bombing. She went on to launch a charity and write a book in memory of her son.

I'm the developer of the app oga Lexus shared. If you need further assistance, feel free to use the live chat on my website.

In addition, 6AM on Monday is mostly good for booking tests that are 4 to 6 months away. Between 12pm to 5pm on Tuesday to Friday is perfect for finding cancellations.

Very baffling how complicated and restrictive Nigeria's visa process is. Don't they need/want immigrants and all the immense value they bring?

Hopefully Jedisco and Goke will admonish them to open up their borders and create more liberal immigration policies..

Good evening my people, please is there anyone here who has applied for the renewal/extension their health care visa recently( i.e after the introduction of going rates and salary threshold)

How did you navigate the going rates & salary threshold issue considering the fact that most care employers pay minimum wages and the standard working hours is 33 hours.

Here is my own issue, I got my first COS when minimum wages was 10 pounds and on 33 hours contract. Now my renewal is coming up and the issue of this salary threshold is giving me serious concerns because my employer still pay minimum wages on 33 hours contract. The HR department seem to have no clue about immigration rules changes as well.

Please help a brother.
