We have a class Whatsapp group so we often keep in touch and discuss politics, entertainment, football etc.

So one time I tagged him to discuss the killings in eha amufu, Enugu and he denied any killings there that it was propaganda. I even had to show a X screenshot of someone from there and he said it wasn't real that the Governor was doing the best.

Few weeks later, I saw another news of eha amufu killings and posted it on my status with the caption " we are our own problems" and my friend deleted my number , stopped communicating with me and we can't view each other's status.

I'm from imo state and I do criticize my own governor once there's any bad news coming from there.

So we have die hard fans of bad governance even in the eastern states. Na wa o

Good move. You did the right thing. I don't think any rational and balanced person deserves to have (1) a tribal and religious bigot (2) a backstabber/betrayer (3) a person inspired by/staunch supporter of a drug baron, as a friend.

Politics and religion are sensitive subjects. I rarely discuss them with people because many people often become too emotional and lose their senses whenever we dissect such issues.

The problem of some people is that when they love politicians, they create a fake picture of such politicians in their heads and are never ready to admit that their favourite politicians have failings like the rest of us.

Governor Peter Mbah is doing well in transforming Enugu, but he has terribly managed the herder-farmer clashes in Isi-Uzo LGA that have claimed several lives.

Here's what I think - stop discussing politics and religion with people who are excessively emotional. Those people often lack logic and can get physical with you whenever you two don't share the same opinion over issues.
