Many of those who worked under Buhari have turned out to be ingrates because of unemployment.

In 2011, coalition talks failed as Buhari refused to concede the vice presidential ticket to Tinubu's camp. In 2015, the merger paid off when Buhari conceded the vice presidential slot to Tinubu.

The additional 3 million votes led to offsetting Jonathan's votes by 2,571,759.

Without Tinubu, Saraki and some others, Buhari would never have won that election and Babachir and Boss Mustapha would not have been SGF.

Tinubu contributed immenseley to rebranding Buhari and successfully removed the tag of religious fundamentalism from Buhari, which influenced Buhari's marketability.

Despite Buhari's team sidelining Tinubu during Buhari's tenure, Tinubu remained true to the party. Despite the party abandoning APC Edo during Obaseki's second term campaign, Tinubu supported the party. Despite many in Buhari's camp refusing to openly campaign for Tinubu, Tinubu campaigned as if his life depended on it. Buhari later joined when it became clear he was being unfair to Tinubu.

Now, many of Buhari's disciples who feel sidelined are now undermining Tinubu. Osinbajo himself undermined Tinubu by running against him and got served. It's been only two years, and many of Buhari's disciples cannot stay the course. Buhari and Tinubu were the arrowheads of APC. Buhari had his time, Tinubu also deserves his time. After Buhari, Tinubu took more heat on behalf of APC during Buhari's tenure.

There were rumours that some people in Buhari's government were more disposed to an Atiku presidency when the Ahmad Lawan project failed. The way they are trooping to the coalition, it is clear where they stood.

Even if Babachir, Boss Mustapha, Malami, Laureta Onochie and some Buhari's closest fellows detest Tinubu, they should be reminded that Buhari would never have been president without Tinubu's support.

To politicians, think of the future. Do not make enemies because of temporary hunger. You abuse Tinubu today. Tomorrow, you might need someone from his camp to support you. Why should he trust you?
well written. Just 2yrs out of power and bn sideline , they are so angry

And Buhari was not in the race with a fellow northerner but a southerner who had agreed to a single term after completing 2 years for Yar’Adua.

The northerner had already commented on the low voter turn out from the west for Tinubu . They were shocked that Tinubu struggled in the west . Buhari won because of the north votes, same for Tinubu you can’t be president without the north.
Abeg sound this well into Yoruba people's ears. Without the North, no President can emerge.

The former president is still grateful that he listened to his successor to try at least one more time without which he couldn't have been president due to the failure he encountered in the past.
listen to the speech Asiwaju gave at that town hall meeting that was made popular by the " emi lo kan'' sentiment.

Tinubu created his own downfall with his arrogance and hubris. I am even surprised. I expected a humble tinubu right after he won president considering that more votes were cast against him than for him in2023.

I believe he is seeing the handwriting on the wall. The worst part is that he has allowed his appointees from the south blame Buhari for everything bad about his govt.

I actually expected more.

To be honest ungratefulness is satanic and very very bad.

I'm very sure Tinubu must have learned a bitter lesson if he is lucky to be back to this world again after he might have gone to his ancestor because the people he has helped have all betrayed him simply they are no longer on viable employment. The lesson I learned from Tinubu case is I will never help anyone in life to stardom, never.

Was this not same Mustapha running down to Bourdillion like a rat to lick Tinubu a s s then now turned Tiger masturbating from his mouth? I remember how Buharri lost presidential election on 3 or 4 occasion but same Tinubu these bloody ingrates are attacking now helped Buhari to achieved his dream.

It's satanic to be an ingrate.

Where is the agreement for one term?
Was it not rumoured that Obasanjo had a imilar agreement?

Nigeria: There Was Agreement On One Term for Obasanjo - Waku

17 July 2002
This Day (Lagos)
By Kingsley Emereuwa

Umuahia — Senator Joseph Waku has said that there was an agreement he (Obasanjo) reached with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) before assuming office in 1999 to run for only one term.

The controversial senator who came to limelight last year when he was accused of calling for military take-over of the present government, was speaking in Umuahia last weekend where he was a guest of Governor Orji Uzor Kalu.

Boss Mustapha should know better. Revisionism or Amnesia. so let's jug up his memory.
By 2015, Muhammadu Buhari was a northern juggernaut with zero traction in the south. He lost three consecutive elections—2003, 2007, and 2011—failing to secure even 2% in any southern state. Buhari had reach in the desert but no bridge to the coast.

Enter Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The 2015 victory wasn’t divine—it was strategic. Tinubu brought the political architecture, the South West votes, the elite coordination, and the ACN machinery that formed the APC. That party wasn’t born in the north—it was negotiated in Lagos and midwifed across the Niger.

To now hear Boss Mustapha suggest Buhari could’ve done it alone is more than false—it’s dangerous revisionism. In 2011, Buhari won zero southern states. In 2015, thanks to Tinubu, he won Lagos, Ogun, Oyo, Osun, Ondo, and Ekiti—securing the crucial two-thirds spread.

This wasn’t a northern coronation. It was a coalition presidency—and Tinubu was the hinge.

If the northern elite think they can return to power without meaningful southern alliance, they’re politically deaf. Nigeria isn’t ruled by nostalgia. It’s steered by negotiated balance.

👉 Don’t erase the bridge that carried you.
👉 Don’t bite the hand that delivered you.

Boss Mustapha should know better.
all i can say is VERY APT.

The guy has been crying since he was not made the VP in tghe last election

Very funny people. When it is convenient, they blame Tinubu for fostering Buhari on Nigerians. When it is not convenient, they turn around and claim he has no contribution in bringing Buhari to power. We all know how many times Buhari contested and lost before Tinubu came to his rescue.

Whatever the case, Tinubu proved his capacity and influence by making himself president the first time he contested. His 2023 victory without the active support of Buhari and his cabals has laid to rest any further argument about Tinubu capacity.
