If you actually and logically look at the options, in the short and very long run, you'd be smart enough to love the Master.
The Bible has many admirers and points of agreement with virtually every other religion, it's not a basis for confusion or conversion. Moreso, every single writer of the new testament was proud to be servants of God.

Rom_1:1  Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated unto the gospel of God,
Titus_1:1  Paul, a servant of God, and an apostle of Jesus Christ, according to the faith of God's elect, and the acknowledging of the truth which is after godliness;

Hmmm, we are smoothly leaving your concern about God for another topic, and it continues to spiral/spin on this route based on my little experience. Like i sorta warned in my first or second paragraph then, that remains the best advice i can give. This journey of trying to understand it all is the same principle that Adam and his wife followed in pursuit of the knowledge of good and evil. It throws one out of reach of real life, just as it has always done.
Are we now going to say hmmm, it contradicts therefore there's no God or what? In the words of the popular song, It's already too late and it won't make sense.

In the first instance, what and who defines freewill? What are the limits and boundaries of freedom? Am i free to take your property or do i lose my freedom and feel caged because i am not allowed to do what i want with your own child? What is the definition of freedom and freewill? Are you free to stop talking to me/anyone or you have no choice? Do you have any choice in your career path? Does the Bible itself talk about freewill and what does it say? These and more would probably guide or help throw you out of the path like i said earlier.
