Tflex01:But ex this, ex that, including ex Head of state Buhari, ex Governor Tinubu, joined to form APC and remove GEJ, a then sitting President. What’s the fear with ex this, ex that forming a coalition to confront BAT? Is it not from ex this, that he became the sitting President? |

EponObi:Even this 7 will further disintegrate once Atiku picks the ticket. Obi go fariga... sey na him birthright and Atiku people no send am. Ameachi will probably run with Atiku..The question is what can that ticket achieve? Noth8ng for ADC. It is an association of the loosers! |

They are all just fighting because it is obvious to them that they will all be retired in the next few years to come. Tinubu will raise a new set of leaders with progressive ideologies, and these faces will be unknown. They are already aware of their fate, hence the need to fight the final battle with all they have, but Tinubu will win them; they are just going to try. DrMB: |

DrMB:Anyone who includes Dele Momodu in a list of heavyweights does not know what a political heavy weight is. Your relevance and weight in politics is determined by your ability to get votes. On that basis this is how I classify the names on that list Heavy weight 1:Peter Obi 2: Atiku Yes obi has more votes than Atiku. Atiku’s votes are significantly defacto PDP votes, many of which have deserted him or will not follow him out of PDP Category B: those with some influence but not game changers Lamido Tambuwal B: Yesterday’s men with little voter influence: David Mark, Amaechi Suswan Aregbesola ElRufai Lalong Abdulahi Secundus Malami Isaku etc And anyone else not mentioned above or below Category D: Nonentities Lalung Momodu Datti |

emmanuelbrown26:He is saying that all should support Obi. Any person aside Obi will make the coalition meaningless. Obi is one man party, like by the northerners, easterners, westerners and southerners. We can't pretend that it is not the truth. |

Atiku’s votes are significantly defacto PDP votes, many of which have deserted him or will not follow him out of PDP Category B: those with significant influence but not game changers. (All lost their states in last election) Lamido Tambuwal B: Yesterday’s men: they may be noisemakers but they have little voter influence: David Mark, Amaechi Suswan Aregbesola ElRufai Secundus Ihedioha Malami Isaku etc And anyone else not mentioned above or below It is important to note that for all the people on this category, voters will vote for Atiku or Obi not because of their influence. Therefore they are not influential. They don’t add to the votes. A heavy weight is someone who has an independent followership and can add or remove votes. For instance Ihedioha has no influence over any votes anywhere. His domain is imo state and imo state voters are going to vote for a obi come rain come sunshine. He has not been able to influence the gubernatorial elections in his state for 4 election cycles in a row despite being speaker! Therefore he adds nothing to the coalition. This is the case for everyone in category C! Category D: Nonentities Lalung Momodu Datti Bolaji Abdulahi When it comes to heavy weights in politics. Strictly defined as your ability to influence voters and deliver votes. I only rate Obi, Atiku, Lamido and Tambuwal. The rest are seeking relevance precisely because they failed to deliver votes in the last election. If they did they would be in power. All of them COMBINED cannot deliver the 6m votes Obi had/has and that includes Atiku! |

Nothing but the truth. Obi is an institution. Only Buharis cult followership comes close StormpyBee: |

onatisi:Less will join APC but more will join APC. ADC can't do shit |
| Re: 25 Opposition Heavyweights In ADC by abysirius(m): 2:09pm On Jul 11, 2025 |
The only surprise ADC can pull is to have Obi as their flag bearer and Atiku as his vice, and the chances of that happening is super slim. Again, APC know this is a possibility and are fully ready for that. |

emkz:Bolaji Abdullahi the ex minister and Abdulfatai Ahmed ex Kwara governor are my neighbors in GRA area of Abdulrazaq street but I can tell anyone that the two cannot win neighborhood election. |
| Re: 25 Opposition Heavyweights In ADC by fabolouz1(m): 2:10pm On Jul 11, 2025 |
Aside Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and Mr Peter Obi , all the rest are spent politicians who can't win their units in an election. |
| Re: 25 Opposition Heavyweights In ADC by Akpakomiza2: 2:11pm On Jul 11, 2025 |
ElevationD:Those ex that joined APC had relevance plus APC had buhari who dominated the north with Tinubu who controls SW. Does atiku controls the north? Obi at least dominated SE |

kolente:Obi a know tribalist will be a unifier. You people nzogbu nzogbu politics make you to be shortchanged and it will continue until you all change. Imagine Obi attacking Soludo for saying the obvious about the true people causing unrest in south east. |
| Re: 25 Opposition Heavyweights In ADC by Omenlon: 2:13pm On Jul 11, 2025 |
The only heavy weight here is Peter Obi unless there's another meaning for heavy weight. Nevertheless, all of them put together are light weight to Tinubu in politics. |

emkz:You fell flat for it!!! He was not impeached, you gave an incorrect information. That's why there are staggered elections in Anambra today. Why did you leave that part out if not for mischief. Obi: Impeached as Anambra governor.... You see yourself ![]() |
| Re: 25 Opposition Heavyweights In ADC by Tareq1105: 2:16pm On Jul 11, 2025 |
abysirius:Each of Atiku Obi Ameachi El Rufai are in the coalifusion to grab one position or the other. If Atiku win the primary, obidients would pull Obi out and Ameachi wouldn't support Atiku unless he's given VP. Obi has been warned not to take VP. If Ameachi win the primary, don't expect Atiku to campaign round for him and put down his resources. Obi would leave definitely. If Obi win the primary, both Atiku and Ameachi wouldn't be committed. The only snake among them is El Rufai. He wouldn't want Atiku to win so that he could get VP from either Obi or Ameachi. Whenever you see El Rufai being active in party functions is bcoz of what would come to him. So, in politics it's all about what comes to me. The interest of the people is secondary. Don't expect El Rufai to be committed if he's not given VP. At initial stage of Tinubu, El Rufai fought everyone known to be northern leader bcoz of Tinubu with the thought that he would be Tinubu VP. When rumour went to town that Tinubu would pick a Muslim he jumped at it thinking it was likely to be him. He lost out and I'm happy he lost out bcoz of his hatred for southern kaduna people. |
