🎙I for one fail to understand what is going on in the head of this Super Falcons coach Justin Madugu:

[1] Rinsola Babajide is our most creative attacking player but he keeps yanking her off at half time

[2] In the run-up to the tournament, Francesco Ordega was our most potent attacking threat. She was devastating against Portugal but so far has not seen one minute of action

[3] Madugu keeps playing Asisat Oshoala as a target woman. She is the most ill-suited forward we have for that role but only he fails to see it

[4] When Botswana decided to park the bus, why did he not push Michelle Alozie and Ashleigh Plumtree forward, effectively making them wingers? We needed width badly in that game

[5] For me, this man is clearly out of his depth. If we win the tournament it will be in spite of him, not because of him

[6] All he ever does is make three substitutions at half time. Is he aware that this limits his ability to respond to any changes later on in the game like injuries or conceding a goal?

[7] I for one would bring Randy Waldrum back tomorrow. His team put your mind at rest

[8] So far, only individual talent, favourable officiating decisions and good fortune has won us both games. Such good luck will not continue forever

[9] If you want to know how limited this coach is, ask yourselves if his team has any set piece variation routine. Have you seen any creativity on corners or free kicks?

[10] We actually have the talent to win the World Cup but need a good coach. Maybe the NFF should go for Hope Powell

Just me thinking aloud! -

Aurelio de Laurentiis told his close circle that he found it tough to negotiate with Galatasaray executives regarding Victor Osimhen, calling them “Stingy Madmen.” (Napoli Xtra)

Because there is unquestionable constitutional rule of law. This matter will be considered comedy and will not even get before a magistrate court.

Nobody, the police , elected governor will obey and or enforce the ILLEGALITY. In addition even the illegal state administrator and President will both be arrested for TREASON ( No immunity for treason before the law)
What you just said is entirely beside the point of your initial post.

🚨⚠️ Understand Napoli have now rejected new formal proposal sent by Galatasaray today for Victor Osimhen.

Galatasaray offered €70m today with bank documents attached for payment guarantees…

…Napoli president De Laurentiis wants €75m guaranteed and he has rejected.

Napoli have not yet accepted Galatasaray's latest offer of €70 million, payable in five installments with letters of credit, for Osimhen.
Napoli asking for €75 million in two installments and with bank guarantees

Di Marzio

I think paying in two installments will be difficult for Galatasaray but Napoli need to sell, at the end, both will reach an agreement

I hope so, but if he maintains top form, they can sell him after 2 years and still recoup some money back.
Jhon Duran and likely Marco Asensio in Fenerbache, Tammy Abraham and Orkun Kokcu in Besiktas, Galasatary needs to compete.

Social media is a serious distraction to any serious team, or to any serious individual for that matter.

There are good sides to Social media but not all the time you should be seen doing all kinds of things on it,there should be moderation to it especially for professional footballers.
The one of Michelle Alozie is too much.

Someone asked you a simple straightforward question and u were busy diverting the question. In a simple term, just answer the question. Stop running around in circles and the same time thinking that you are smart
If a case was not brought to court, will a court just jump in and rule on it?? Simple yes or no. You carry lamba full page.

I am really shocked Osimhen refused to drop his wage demands. I have seen what is going on on Social media with Osimhen buying a car of N1billion and Henry Onyekuru buying a chain worth N571 million.

That is all the money is really for. Luxurious living.

I hope Osimhen understands that this is his prime period. Osimhen should know his worth is actually not what he will earn weekly but the legacy he will leave behind.

Buying luxurious things can never equate to a legacy of being one of the best players in the history of the game.

Either way, it is his choice.

Osimhen should know that these big clubs know they offer legacies. The chance of being recognized as great. That is why they are not ready to pay him hugely. If he comes to the EPL and have a strong impact, his wages will go up.

Osimhen should know that is when he will have true value. He can go on with Galatasaray and keep buying luxury cars and mansions.

This isn't a fair commentary on the matter. What Osimhen does with what he's legitimately earned has no bearing on how he navigates the next phase of his career. Assuming Osimhen concedes and decides to reduce his wage to fit the wage structure of the EPL clubs. He'll still be rich enough to buy a 1 Billion Naira car every month should he decide to. So let's stick to the making commentary on his decision on it's merit without calling to question the players motivations and intentions.

For clarity, I'm not particularly pleased with Victor moving to Turkey, but I also understand I can't grieve more than the bereaved. There are intricacies to the decision that we obviously aren't pricy to. Also, he deciding against reducing his wage may be a matter of principle and nothing more. We all know for a player of his pedigree who has a different heritage, no EPL club will be making that request.

We should also consider Victor's wage request isn't unreasonable. He isn't asking to be the most paid player in the EPL. He wouldn't even be the most payed player in the clubs in question should he join them. He may very well consider it disrespectful this is being asked of him and he wouldn't be wrong. He may has well conclude the gesture is signal that these clubs don't consider him as priority and he also wouldn't be wrong.

Finally, not everyone plays football for legacy. People have varying goals for why they do what they do and for Victor legacy (or what you consider legacy) may just not be his utmost priority. His idea of legacy may also be different from what you consider as such. Mikel won all there is to win in Europe playing for one of the biggest clubs in England, but most children born in the last decade who didn't even witness JJ. Okocha play will consider JJ more of a legend than Mikel ever was. Mikel won several titles, including an AFCON for Nigeria after many years, but JJ is etched in the hearts of every football loving Nigerian, old or young.

Someone on Twitter shared his experience of how he recently visited Turkey. He got special treatment from a vendor because he was Nigerian. The Vendor made him know that he was a beneficiary of the goodness JJ Okocha brought to Turkey during his time with Fernebahce. So it may be inaccurate to think Victor isn't thinking of legacy, his idea of legacy may just be different from yours.

Will you say Rashidi Yekini whose greatest exploits in Europe was even at the second division tier in Portugal was not recognised as a great player even at a global level? cos till today his goal celebration in the World Cup in the game against Bulgaria remain an iconic highlight even in FIFA’s archives.

The way we are trying to redefine greatness and legacy on this thread is becoming too personal.

We have never taken any action that would put Galatasaray in financial difficulty, and we will not do so. This situation also applies to Osimhen’s possible transfer. - Galatasaray President

Rashidi Yekini is a great player in our Nigerian football climate. On the international scale, he has little to no rep. He is not even in 200 of the world greatest players. I doubt he will even enter 500 world greatest players list.
