The presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP) in the 2023 general election, Peter Obi, has asked the African Democratic Congress (ADC) to zone its 2027 presidential ticket to the South in the interest of equity, unity and national cohesion.https://dailytrust.com/why-adc-should-zone-2027-presidential-ticket-to-south-obi/

You people are super funny. The country is at the edge of total economic collapse and extreme poverty brought upon us by the APC. instead of you people to plot the best course to rescue the country, you are busy talking about southern turn. If not that common sense is not common, you would have understood that no southern politician stand a chance against Tinubu. Wait ooo... Atiku spent his time, money and effort to form a coalition, you think he will allow that nosense PDP zoning thingy. Come and test your popularity at the primary when the time is right |

Grapevine has it that the core of the buharist CPC bloc have sentiments around Mallam Nasir El-rufai as the most suitable & influencial person amongst the core north to galvanise the cult-like followership that Buhari enjoyed. With the strategic advantage Mallam Nasir El-rufai will be enjoying in the coming season and a sizable share of the followership of Buhari who are die hard conservatives, it will be best and of strategic benefit to rally round Peter Obi for a single four (4) year tenor. PBAT stands no chance of a second position today with the combination of Peter Obi & Nasir El Rufai. Fortunately they are Arch- rivals of the President and belong to same coalition. |

North cannot remove tinubu with northern candidate Even atiku cannot clear the north. This is a fact. If the north support Obi . Obi can get half votes from the north and clear key states in the south. |

Obi claims to be very popular yet is scared of party primaries. |

Peter Obi should get enough delegates, no one will zone anything, it will be free for all. Enough of this zoning mediocrity. I am certain, Obi's ego and those pushing him will make him to contest as a candidate, not joining coalition. The loss will be something else. ![]() |

Obi no feel beat Ameachi for presendital primaries remember Ameach came second to tinunbu. Even beat vp osinbanjo Obi himself is yet to test real presidential primaries. LP just gave him ticket but Ameachi came second contesting with big weight at APC primaries so even if Atiku no contest he no still sure say obi go get that ticket |

Why does PO wants leadership to be served to him a la carte, who does that? Let him go to the primaries and test his popularity. The opportunity he had in LP ain't happening here. Even if it's zoned to the south, does he think he can defeat Amaechi? It's easier for the north to support Amaechi than support PO. |

Lol ok.. But I hope he knows he wouldn't defeat Amaechi in the primary too. Obi is a featherweight politician that Obidients believe to be heavyweight because of the social media noise. |

Finally Obi don de talk small truth. This will be his first demand, if for one magical reason this is granted, then he will make the second demand, that it should be micro zoned to his region. If he had been using this line all along, even though I still will not support him because of his abysmal performance as governor of Anambra, at least I will be less critical. It is his forming of 'cent obi' that really annoys all sensible people. Now back to his request. If the North agrees to cede it to the South, then the issue of trust will come up, now for a character like Obi with highly suspect integrity issues, you can be sure he will deny ever agreeing to one term. That is for sure. In terms of friendship, Amaechi is a better friend of the North than Obi, his 'Yes, daddy, take back the nation from the North' tape will resurface when the time comes, and his new friends will remind him that he is not a sellable product in the North. Amaechi on the other hand will yet reap the benefits of having sited projects in the North. |

Tanko & Peter Obi are not serious at all. So you think Atiku will waste his money & time to galvanized various political interests in the country to ADC just to hand it over to Obi. nah it won't happen. What Atiku needed Obi & the Obidients for in ADC is to help give the party enough Publicity. After that, Obi & his Obidients can look elsewhere. |

Dem never even grind beans, moi moi don dey scent. No zoning for anybody. Go to the field and test your popularity. Being in LP but asking for favors in ADC is like working in UBA but begging to be paid salary as a staff of Zenith bank. Come out with your full chest and take your stand if you believe in your capacity.

Even though I am 100% Obidient,... Let me use this opportunity to advise Mr Peter Obi and fellow Obidients like me as we approach the 2027 elections. To Obidients: Let's stop this naive radical approach of supporting our man, Peter Obi. Let's drop this idea of "Obi is qualified to be President or is a presidential material; hence, he can't be deputy to anybody", "2027 is Peter Obi or nothing", " Obidient Movement is bigger than Peter Obi", etc. Politics doesn't work that way! Remember, despite late President Buhari's cult-like followership in the north, coupled with his virtue of integrity, he still had to align with the 'powers that be' before he could become the president, after three failed attempts. We all know that Peter Obi won the last general elections but was rigged out. This is what will continue to happen, unless he forms a coalition with other political heavyweights. He certainly cannot do it all by himself. This is Nigeria. Our democratic ideals hasn't gotten there yet. Again, in 2013, when the APC was formed, the current president, Tinubu, temporarily shelved his ambition for late Buhari (someone he knew could get the northern bloc votes) to pave the way for his turn - which he is enjoying today. If he had insisted on contesting the 2015 elections, he probably would have lost, and might not have been president today Let's also remember that Peter Obi is the leader of the Obidient Movement, therefore, we - as followers - are to follow him to wherever he goes. We are to listen to him. We are not to decide for him. He is the politician and he sure knows what's good for him. If being in the coalition party and deputizing Atiku is the platform/vehicle in which he could achieve his ambition of becoming president someday, so be it! To Peter Obi: I will advice that you learn from late President Buhari for his decision to align with the 'powers that be' in 2013. Learn from Tinubu who temporarily had to sacrifice his ambition for Buhari. I believe the Atiku/Obi ticket is the only ticket that can remove Tinubu in 2027. It's also the same ticket that can make Obi realize his ambition of becoming president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria! |

fineboynl:Story . He can not clear nothing down south. You should understand by now that gradually, APC is shifting its stronghold to the south. Tinubu knows the north wont support him again,so his hope is south. That is why he is bringing all the southern governor's together under APC. If obi dares to compete, 2 million vote he won't see. He will be rigged out like a ragdoll |

You see these people from the South showing interest in the Presidency already occupied by a southerner are the enemies of the southern Region. Instead of them to unite and form a force against North but they allow their ambition to blind fold their faculty of thinking. |

Mynd44:I don't want to say much on this. Mind you, amaechi is codedly working for obi. The south must do 8 years. Atiku is a modaru human being and a super greedy fellow who pretends to love Nigeria. Either tinubu is defeated in 2027 by obi with the help of the north or tinubu continues. That's my stand right now. But obi will win. The south and middle belt is in the bag, any one in doubt can argue later |

Obi l support you 1,00000% but this one no follow at all. You have to make sacrifices and deputise Atiku cus that's the only way Tinubu can be defeated. If not, then history will repeat itself again like in 2023. This mission is more than just your presidential ambition now. It's about rescuing Nigeria and you can't do it alone. You need Atiku just like he needs you. So exercise some little patience. Buhari waited and worked tirelessly for 12 years (2003 to 2015) before he became president. Tinubu waited and worked tirelessly for 16 years (2007 to 2023) before he became president. So you have to wait too and work tirelessly. Besides, age is still on your side. The days of Obasanjo and the late Tony Anenih's PDP running Nigeria like a Mafia State and installing Presidents like they installed Yaradua in 2007 and co-incidentally Jonathan is over. Now, it's a game of patience cus the game has gotten much more tougher and crowded. |
