Where is the fairness in this when the south would have ruled DEMOCRATIC Nigeria for many years more than the north by 2027 huh

True talk or else we go scatter am,
That's how tinubu formed his Muslim Muslim ticket

The question is will Atiku allow him to be the flag bearer of ADC niii?

This one never hear wetin Dem dey talk... No zoning of presidency to anywhere. Atiku dictates what goes in the party. You will contest in the primary with atiku. ☹️
... If Atiku gets the presidential ticket he will still lose the 2027 presidential election...because the southerners will not support him because it's the turn of the south..so Atiku should have patient till 2031 when it's the turn of the north

Our ADC presidential election flagbearer shall be decided at the primary. Since you decided to join the structure of criminality you must play their game as well.
Re: Why ADC Should Zone 2027 Presidential Ticket To The South – Obi by pastorarynzay: 9:02am On Jul 14, 2025
Why will the fate of good governance decided by criminal delegates, obi should run away from any primary. I said no to primary.

Lol

Dude would lose again, and this time woefully. So he basically wants an easy walk to be the presidential candidate of a party that has two formidable candidates who are well known across Northern Nigeria? Lol

So ADC doesn't give him the ticket, what happens afterwards? He returns to divided Labour? Lol

Man is going to lose again. Congratulations in advance to Tinubu.

Lol.

So why does Obi want to dodge a primary? Did Tinubu not go through a primary in APC? He wants it handed over to him and that's not fair to other formidable candidates. Let him test his popularity within the coalition.

Anyway, the coalition wasn't going to work in the first place. Coalition that has 80% former APC members. What's the difference between six and half a dozen?

Re: Why ADC Should Zone 2027 Presidential Ticket To The South – Obi by Jonjam269: 9:08am On Jul 14, 2025
Let’s be realistic—this coalition is essentially designed to advance Atiku’s presidential ambition. Obi is nothing more than a pawn on the political chessboard. No amount of talk or analysis will change that. Whether they contest together or individually, Atiku and Obi will always end up as losers.

Then again, can Peter Obi defeat Amaechi in a presidential Primary?
I don't want to say much on this. Mind you, amaechi is codedly working for obi. The south must do 8 years. Atiku is a modaru human being and a super greedy fellow who pretends to love Nigeria.

Either tinubu is defeated in 2027 by obi with the help of the north or tinubu continues. Thats my stand right now. But obi will win. The south and middle belt is in the bag, any one I doubt can argue later

North cannot remove tinubu with northern candidate

Even atiku cannot clear the north.

This is a fact.

If the north support Obi . Obi can get half votes from the north and clear key states in the south.
Do you have Delta, Rivers and Akwa Ibom amongst those states?

Grapevine has it that the core of the buharist CPC bloc have sentiments around Nasir El-rufai as the most suitable influencial person amongst the core north to galvanise the Core Northern Muslim demagogy that Buhari enjoyed.

With the strategic advantage Mallam Nasir El-rufai will be enjoying in the coming season and a sizable share of the followership of Buhari who are die hard conservatives, it's the best time to rally round Peter Obi for a single four (4) year tenor.

PBAT stands no chance of a second position today with the combination of Mallam Nasir El Rufai & Peter Obi fortunately they are Arch- rivals of the President and in the same coalition.

Una don come with this " in the bag " mantra again?

Benue in the bag!
Plateau in the bag!

It is good if they are in the bag but unfortunate if the bag is leaky and leaking.

Peter Obi should let the coalition breathe, let him go back to LP and get his free ticket.
Peter Obi is acting more like a sabotage to those that meant real business. He should focus and hold the steering: not jumping on a moving bus as a dead load.

If the Obi possibly fails in the coalition, he will still
Contest on another platform only to divide the ADC vote and strength again. Because surely, 2027 is between ADC and APC. Nigerians are not yet ready for what( no vote buying )Obi is bringing to the table.

Ameachi will win obi if they are the only one contesting. The north will trust Ameachi fsr more than the tribal and religion bigot. Obi had ended his presidency with the infamous phone call. Northern Muslim will never support him. The likes of Tanko are just cashing out. Why has he not be moving from northern states like Atiku and market obi. He and his group are just using the obidients, just like how Abure cash out too.

So if na you, you go fit wait. When he will be 82 years old and more political gladiator from the north more eminently qualified would be interested to contest for the presidency. Dey play. This is Atikus last chance and he knows it. The odds are not in obi's favour.
Re: Why ADC Should Zone 2027 Presidential Ticket To The South – Obi by basork: 9:24am On Jul 14, 2025
Zone ticket to south is being hypocrital, looking at this from 1999
South west
(presidency 10years and counting)
(vice presidency 8 years)

South south
Presidency 5 plus years
vice presidency 2 plus years

South East
Presidency ZERO
Vice presidency Zero

North west
Presidency 10 plus years
Vice presidency Zero

North East
presidency zero
Vice presidency 10 years and counting

North central
Presidency zero
Vice presidency zero

Calling for power shift to south without saying south east is hypocrisy Obi should know that,
South would have been in power for 18 years by 2027 and 22 years by 2031 with south west using 16 years.

South through Gej used 5+ years of northern turn and wanted more yet they are saying give us till 2031.

You people are super funny. The country is at the edge of total economic collapse and extreme poverty brought upon us by the APC. instead of you people to plot the best course to rescue the country, you are busy talking about southern turn.

If not that common sense is not common, you would have understood that no southern politician stand a chance against Tinubu.

Wait ooo... Atiku spent his time, money and effort to form a coalition, you think he will allow that nosense PDP zoning thingy. Come and test your popularity at the primary when the time is right
How do you expect free ticket hunter to contest when he knows he will fail weofully. The primaries will be the easiest for Atiku cos he won't even spent money to bribe delegates like he normally do. He has Northern state delegates to his side and he is penetrating the south. Meanwhile obi is busy serving rice.

How has he proved his competence in the past?

Why do you think it is easier for the North to support Amaechi than Obi?
So that the rot will continue?
The north wants someone they can control, and Amaechi has been interacting with the more actively than PO for 10 yrs+ now. They see PO as someone they can control too but Amaechi is closer to them.

Forget that rot things you guys want to use for campaign as an excuse for PO to be given a chance. No one person can fix this country in even 8 years, the challenge has been there since 1960. You do your own beat, and leave the system better than you met it(economically, electoral reforms, government's spending, etc),

Finally Obi don de talk small truth.

This will be his first demand, if for one magical reason this is granted, then he will make the second demand, that it should be micro zoned to his region.

If he had been using this line all along, even though I still will not support him because of his abysmal performance as governor of Anambra, at least I will be less critical. It is his forming of 'cent obi' that really annoys all sensible people.

Now back to his request. If the North agrees to cede it to the South, then the issue of trust will come up, now for a character like Obi with highly suspect integrity issues, you can be sure he will deny ever agreeing to one term. That is for sure.

In terms of friendship, Amaechi is a better friend of the North than Obi, his 'Yes, daddy, take back the nation from the North' tape will resurface when the time comes, and his new friends will remind him that he is not a sellable product in the North. Amaechi on the other hand will yet reap the benefits of having sited projects in the North.
You question Peter Obi’s integrity while openly supporting Ahmed Tinubu, a figure whose track record is widely regarded as questionable, yet you support and portray him as a paragon of virtue. One must ask: have you truly reflected on the contradictions in your own position?.

That said, it is important to reassert a basic truth: it remains the South's turn to lead, and we cannot relinquish that justified claim. And this is not a new sentiment, even Tinubu, your preferred candidate once declared "Èmi l’ókàn" in Abeokuta, a clear assertion of entitlement.

Now, consider this: Atiku Abubakar’s pursuit of personal political ambition is the reason the PDP is weakened, reducing it to a faint shadow of the formidable party it once was. Should he continue on this path, especially in light of the potential realignment following the death of former President Buhari, his influence will likely wane further. The vacuum created presents a strategic opportunity for his former CPC caucus within the APC to reconfigure the political landscape.

In this emerging reality, Nasir El-Rufai is by the nature of things positioned as the de facto political leader of the North. With Buhari’s exit, El-Rufai stands to inherit a significant portion of the former president’s support base.

A Peter Obi–Nasir El-Rufai presidential ticket would present a formidable coalition, one capable of defeating Ahmed Tinubu decisively, perhaps even before midday on election day.
