Change his environment. Its like porn addiction. I tell them, get a smaller phone, stay off the grid for a 3 months period. Find something not addictive for a hobby like reading books and all.


Get him anti-depressant drugs...they deal with alot of mental uneasiness


Let him be busy, invest in any sport or exercise that exerts physical energy. Keep his mind busy not addicted.


Find people , religion helps here, he needs someone to hold him accountable.

He needs good fruits and food. His health has to be built up again.


Drink more fluid and all. I fit help with counselling but its for a fee. I helped someone with porn addiction some time ago.

You can’t help him past giving advice and sending him to rehab. Only he can help himself, if he lives long enough. The high drugs give cannot be replicated in every day life .

Ah don't know why young guys of nowadays are so addicted to hard drugs. I am also having an in-law like that, a very young and vibrant guy, now the drug has totally deform him.

Discuss with your family, more especially the mother take him to a rehab thereafter treatment let him change to a new environment. He also have to get a work to keep him busy, he also needs to love his life, intake of hard substances is bad it's hard to get ride off, but once one is determined the success is sure, don't give up on him.

So when my dealer back then (a so-called uneducated Aboki) sat me down and lambasted me, I was first mad at him but given who I am, I started seeing my own fault and that was it, I quit. Aboki dey tell me words like... Fine boy like you just dey useless ya life. I better pass you. Na me dey sell am but I no dey take am. You are useless.

Gods, I still dey vex for that man but I still thank him in my heart... Ah

Hard drugs is very hard to comeback from, maybe a rehabilitation center to start with.

Addiction is 2nd nature, very hard to quit, very very hard, mine is sports betting but I have decided to quit although I have tried many times but failed, am a married man with kids but I sold my plasma tv for 50k use the money to play bet9ja and still lost the money, each time my kids put music on home theatre and look on the wall for the pictures I cry in my heart....u see I was thinking that gambling will make me win millions and give my family a better life but hell no it destroyed me more, am in so much debt now, whenever my phone rings fear catches me.....my brother u see bad addiction is very evil

Hard drugs wasn't my own addiction ooo, I tried smoking marijuana few times when I was in Skol but stopped afterwards, but sports betting crimped in and is trying to destroy my life, I have decided to repent and face my fears with God all things are possible, because of my family especially my kids I can't afford to fail them....I can't afford to fail them

In my opinion, the first step should be for a psychologist to speak with the individual. They should ask: Why did he start using hard drugs? What does he feel he gains from them? Is he willing to stop? Where does he see himself in the future? What would he like to be remembered for? Is he open to taking even small steps toward quitting? And what healthy or enjoyable activities could replace drug use in his life?

A skilled psychologist and psychiatrist, especially someone experienced in treating drug addiction is important. They should understand how to help him navigate his difficulties and support his recovery. He also needs to be placed in an environment that encourages positive engagement and provides alternatives to drug use.

Sometimes we replace something important or something we lack with drug use, and addressing it becomes difficult, because the body is happy to take drugs, which is why the user has to choose something healthier.

The only way he can break free is rehab, a year or two..even if he prays and read the bible..it can only reduce but will still go back to it eventually if he has not been used to the word of God..so I'll advice rehab first after that, he should be closer to God

All the other things he smokes (weed, colors, loud, etc.) are children beside that thing called ice. That ice aka meth is the problem.

It will make him soulless and aggressive. He will not eat, will be thin and famished, and dirty and unkempt. There's no way he could have hidden that such behavior for long.

His next phase is to start stealing. Sha hide your phone well, because he will steal absolutely anything: bulgalary proof, television, stabilizer, chargee, and even slippers just to fund the behavior.

You can help him by not giving him money and encouraging him to stop. People on ice have a very high self awareness, and are usually willing to stop. But the draw of the drug is just too powerful.

Just remember that you cannot help him if he is not ready to help himself.

He is the one to do most of the work by himself. Don't drag him to a rehab thinking you're helping him. You are not and he will return to the streets once he completes treatment, that's if he doesn't run away before then.

All you can do now is to encourage him to stop. If he says he is ready to stop and asks to be rehabilitated, then do that.

But if he doesn't, don't do it. Because you will only end up frustrated and will later ignore him and probably not listen to him when he's ready for treatment.

And once he's clean, he should stay away from the area he picked up the habit and the friends he has there. It is for his own good, else he will return to it.

Work on him to reduce the dosage he takes daily first.

Find him a job.

Then find me a girl or two.

Make sure he eats well too.

Exercise if possible, depends on your area.

Compell him to wash his body and clothes and always look neat if he still wants to be your friend.

Again, let him work on reducing the dosage he takes daily.


Don't waste money on rehab. Let me adhere to the above. He will finally rediscover himself.
