It's nice to be back on here really, a lot of changes have happened on this great platform.

I dropped a thread a few years ago about how I was able to stop smoking a few years ago, check my profile.

Now, I've been thinking lately about how I was able to stop that addiction and how I never looked back. Recently I stopped gambling too it's been 9 long months without giving my hard earned money to bookmakers. I'm wondering if other people find it this easy to quit a bad habit.

I hate to admit that I find myself addicted to a lot of immoralities and I've taken it upon myself over the years to TRY to QUIT these things. Recently I stopped watching porn I started at the beginning of this month so far so good, though I get the strongest urges to go back into watching porn, eventually the urge might win but for now I'm winning.

So Great minds, have you ever been addicted to certain things and have you been able to quit? If yes Drop some tips for those still struggling?

Real!!! I almost hit rock bottom, na once I give myself brain o at least others will only affect you but GAMBLING!!

Gambling made me so low in life, I stopped comparing myself to those making it in the game. Gambling is very dangerous.

Yeah man, having reasons to stop helps in staying grounded. Everything is based on self awareness. Sadly not everyone is capable of that, not every Nigerian weilds their own identity.

I smoked Indian hemp and stopped when I was almost caught by my mother and I knew she would be heart broken. The fear of disappointing her was too much so I quit.
I was also introduced to gambling and after my friend who introduced me sold his car to bet, I borrowed myself sense and stopped before I get to that stage unfortunately my friend is still stuck there.
Sex is normal and I am married now with kids so I gotta stop playing outside game.
Alcohol too was stopped cos my wife dislike it and I did that for her.
Overall I think I have good control of my bad habits and stopped them when it matters.

Gambling rule is to stake wat u can afford to lose. Not your life savings.

The worst addiction is drugs. It will drain your purse,body and mind.

Phone addiction is difficult to break.
Imagine waking up first to do is to start pressing your phone just know you're addicted

Phone , gambling, and sex in that order . Addiction is very bad.

Hard drugs, it has recked business empires. Am a living witness during COVID-19 lockdown as the cartels couldn't export, it was cheap and consumed locally. A friend recked 50M , fear who no fear drugs.

Addiction is generally bad. We all have bad habits. But don't let it rule over you. Above all, let the peace of Christ rule over your soul

At least for drug addiction it's illegal, a little deterrent is law enforcement, but gambling is a legal evil, imagine that,


Why is gambling not. A crime?

The worst addiction is hard drugs. Ask people that are neck deep into it they will tell you.

Porn and gambling can easily be stopped unlike drugs that is extreme difficult.

Majority of the youth at one time or the other don watch porn and also played bet. Eventually they outgrew it. But you see hard drugs. Once you start that one, only God can rescue you.

I guess porn and masturbation for me it's the worst addiction any human can get involved.... because it takes the special grace of God before you can break it

Masturbation is worst.If youbdont have money you cant gamble or follow women.But masturbation is free and dangerous.

Masturbation is the worst thing, you don't need money, you don't need to sell your property you don't need NEPA or anyone to get involve just you and you.

Gambling would have comes first but if you don't have money, property to sell or careless property to steal and finally you've become a bad example to everyone around to the extent that all the loan app have blacklisted you then you will need no one to tell you to leave Gambling.

Same goes to drug and alcohol

Scrolling endlessly on social media is a dangerous addiction.

DRUGS, ALCOHOL & MASTURBATION !!! These are the worst form of addiction ever. Why?? Because they directly affect your health and destroy your organs and can/will eventually kil/destroy its victim. All other forms of addiction are "outside the body" even though they are all destructive they don't affect your health directly
