The issue here is the law What does the law say? Is there a special provision for a former VP?

By extension Any Councillor , Commissioner, Policeman and anyone who has ever held any job in government can do that? I do not think so

In fact anyone can do it just sign and say Nigerian Citizen or Mrs Nwobodo 2010-2020

Okeyamo was perfectly right on Atiku's use of coat of arms in his communication. It's not a Nigerian practice. As much as OBJ love to write letters I can't remember him using coat of arms. Atiku's use symbolizes is love for political position. That's the reason why he's this desperate.

It can't be impersonation if he states the period he was vice president and it is obvious it has elapsed. Keyamo got that wrong.. Did you read the response of Atiku's spokesperson

I have never seen Obasanjo used letter head with Nigeria Coat of Arms.

I think Atiku should be guided by what keyamu said here.

It's not right for a top government official who has left office to continue to use coat of arm to write personal letters.

It is not a Nigerian practice and it has never been used by others. So if you are MD of Access Bank after resignation or retirement you will still use the official letter for private communication?

Atiku's spokesman is worse in his defence of Atiku's misuse of the country's official coat of arms. Atiku was not even the president of Nigeria, so why would Atiku still be using Nigeria's official coat of arms in his private communications more than 18 years after he served as VP of Nigeria?.
Keyamo found Atiku offending the laws of Nigeria. But who in APC has got the audacity to bring Atiku to answer before court judges?

So I can use the letter head of a bank that I retired or resigned in my private communication provided it states the period that I was in service? Besides Keyamo is a SAN.

Is not that there is no one to take it up. If government takes it up it will be politicized. If private individuals do the adjournment will take the matter to year 2050.

Festus Keyamo (SAN) has consistently exhibited signs of an adult that lacked basic home training even before assuming a Ministerial position.

His behaviour has gotten magnified now that he has been assigned a higher Ministerial.

Imagine the effontry, temerity, audacity and guts for Keyamo using the pay-off of " Be guided" for one of the most powerful former VPs in Nigerian Democratic history.

Festus Keyamo (SAN) has been notorious for punching above his weight category for a while.

Recall, that the Senate dis-approved his Ministerial nomination when presented and took the intervention of PBAT to get Senate approval based on his spat as a Junior Labour Minister

He also affronted President Obasuanjo at the begining of this PBAT regime calling him out for not supporting PBAT.

Atiku as an adult can resign his party at anytime he feels the need to and not at the notice of Keyamo who is obviously engrossed in overating himself.
