Burna Boy knew his dream early on.

“They would hand out the papers and the question would be, ‘What you wanna be?’ … I’d write ‘rock star,’”
“One of my teachers asked me, ‘What do rock stars do?’ I didn’t really know what to say.”
Well, he’s now living it. After selling out Stade de France (first African to do so), Burna drops his 8th studio album No Sign of Weakness this Friday.

“It’s a celebration of still being here despite all the trials. Everyone on this album had to feel like a rock star.”
Big features include:

Mick Jagger
Travis Scott
Shaboozey
He’s already released hits like “Bundle by Bundle,” “Update,” “Sweet Love,” and “TaTaTa”.

But fame comes with pressure.

“I feel blessed. I also feel great responsibility. I don’t vote… but now even that is a problem.”
Still, the album has playful tracks like “Dem Dey” (inspired by a viral scandal) and “Empty Chairs” with Mick Jagger.

“That’s how I see the future of our music… music that lasts, that you can perform forever.”
He praises Shaboozey too:

“An Igbo boy flourishing in country music. If I’m not proud of that, I can’t be proud of anything.”
He’s also on the F1 movie soundtrack and just launched a new world tour with a circular stage setup.

“This is going to sound selfish — but I definitely have more fun than everybody… When I die, I want to go to a stage in Heaven.”

just because a group of people sat down and said you cant smoke weed doesnt mean you cant.
