The good thing is his son did it the hard way. He has risen through the ranks one by one with no political appointments or promotions.

Also, like his father, he went and fought a war, though he got injured and was almost killed. Big props to Brigadier General Obasanjo, he is making his people proud .

One of the sons Coursemate LtCol Eze (then) by name I remember told us then that during the whole academy days, no one knew he was related to the head of state. He served job with them and He said dude kept a relatively low profile until his POP when the head of state formerly announced is son is along the passing out cadets.

The General is one of a kind.

That was a self inflicted gunsho wound, some senior officers under his battalion did the same thing and the were all court-martialed except Obasanjo's son who was a Colonel then. After he was taken out the Frontline his father intervene and the rest was history.

They were officers of 3rd Division in Jos, Plateau State. Go there and asked of officers who were court-martialed for self inflicted injury in michika adamawa state in 2014, you will get there names there.
