Anytime I travel to USA, Canada or UK, that's how I always hunt for Nigerian restaurants where Amala is on the menu. I am off to Atlanta at month end, and Amala is on my bucket list

Nigeria as a whole have some of the best delicacy in pan Africa.

Amala is a very sweat delicacy with ewedu ,cow meat plus goat meat. Then put small pepper on top. Lol.

Correct woman wey sabi..

Show pon ni ibadan o..

After the amala, she should go enjoy bush meat with correct pammy..

Make she enjoy her weekend..

Positivity attracts positivity, and it is a conscious choice.

Celebrating others takes nothing away from you and sometimes you are effectively celebrating yourself by doing that. Nigeria to the world, and we have many other excellent choices across Nigeria apart from our amala!

They used to talk down on amala + ewedu as a shitty combination.
They rather hail fufu + abacha
While Oyinbo just appreciated Amala and Ewedu as a great culinary discovery. This is surprising

Amala is now the favorite food at parties. People would rather have it than anything else.

A friend is having a party in Kaduna, and I was shocked to find out that Amala is on the menu. These are mostly Northerners with a bit of Yoruba in their heritage. She told me that everyone is now eating Amala. I was surprised.

There is no way I'd visit Ibadan and not eat Amala with ewedu & gbegiri soup (abula) and assorted..
Yorubas lead in everything.

Amala, the only food attracting foreign investors.

We are all learning together. Many are now gradually understanding that pulling down what you are unfamiliar with does not raise you up, you will only attract equal measure of reaction that will take you down. We keep yabbing each other, but deep down we are all growing together. We must appreciate and respect each other by fire by force even if some are not brought up to do that

Oyinbos dont like fufu due to its smell even though cassava is originally from Portugal.

I tried Abacha once. Not my thing. It was like cold palm oil mixed with vegetables. I just picked the ponmo in it and left the rest.

Amala skye at BODIJA is overrated to me , emphasis on the new outlet.
no soup and protein varieties and its damn expensive.
IYA META and AMALA OLUYOLE to me is the real deal in Ibadan

Nawaoh ,see how normal human beings are rejoicing because oyibo want to eat Amala,what kind of slave mentality is this....we eat oyibo food and whites are not celebrating us for it .....we copy their way of dressing and speak English yet we are not celebrated by them ....but a woman eating food that will enter her Bella is what made frontpage here

Its appreciation of culture. Same way people too appreciate Italian Pizza or Ukrainian perogies.

You can see that it was the "US Mission Nigeria" that celebrated it first on their Twitter account with global reach.

I don't see any dirtiness in amala and I don't see where dirtiness comes into play with this. Maybe you can explain yourself better, what scares you, is it the color or what?
