One of the wife’s brothers is seen whipping him with a cane, while others tried to hold him down as the situation escalated. Bystanders could also be seen attempting to break up the fight. Something like this happened in our community some years ago.

The wife left the house with the brother after he and his friends beat up her husband when she reported to the brother.

Two days later, the husband went to the family home and later to the igwe palace to report the matter.

The matter was later settled by the igwe and the wife followed the husband back home, but........ The marriage never remain the same.


Its not advisable to beat up husband with relatives in marriage

➜The man must have been beating his wife consistently for no solid reason, hence, her brothers retaliation. It is see finish on the side of the man, because no in-law will come to your house to beat you like a child if they don't see you as nothing through your wife action or inaction. At this point, separation is the best for this couple.

➜Some women are brutal and sometime behave like devil, if such woman married an hot tempered man, the beating can happened. If it happened that a woman poured hot rice with stew on her husband face during an argument, and the man beat her, would her brothers still defend her in such situation?

Your so-called hot-tempered man is nothing but an emotionally immature being who never truly learned how to properly manage his emotions. We all have tempers, and we are all expected to learn how to manage our tempers and emotions in such a way as not to use them as a weapon against others. When your emotionally immature man assaults a woman, regardless of who she is or what she said, his lack of basic self-control over his own emotions is to be blamed on him, not on anyone else. No amount of blame-shifting can make him any less culpable since the emotions that resulted in him assaulting her are his.

Again, I reiterate, there are no good enough reasons for why a man, or policeman, or tout, should lay hands on another individual or woman out there.
