But wisdom comes with age, so one can not rule out a change in behaviour of an once hot tempered person.

1. If wisdom indeed came with age, you would not have so many foolish elderly people littering communities across Nigeria today. Stop telling these lies and stop lying to yourselves!
2. Stop lying to yourself while lying to others. There are so many old people out there — your GOs/Overseers/Politicians/imams/Popes included— who still have yet to reach this realization, as they would rather continue scamming the poor, shifting blame all for the sake of their pockets and their enjoyment in life; peace of mind for many of these is dependent on how much they can afford.

Back to the topic, something like this happened in my neighborhood back then. In that case, the woman was a community palliative who used to cheat on her husband. There was murmurs that she used to be a prostitute. So, one day, the man confronted her about her philandering habits and when the argument escalated, her brothers came to teach the man a lesson...Unfortunately for them the man was a nice man and when guys in the neighborhood got wind of what was happening, the mobilized themselves, invaded the apartment and gave the woman's brothers the beating of their lives. The man was so grateful for what the neighborhood boys did for him, but at the end of the day, the marriage ended.

Again, the marriage ended before this point in time; it ended when the man/woman laid hands on the others. The two have instead been living like parasites(usually of the emotional kind) on each other since then. Marriage is not meant to be a parasitic relationship between two humans but a mutual one. Unfortunately, in parasitic relationships, one partner is bound to benefit the least(sometimes even nothing real).

Firstly, I find it disturbing that some people think it is within their rights to beat up an adult when they err. Secondly, I have a question for men who beat up their partners because they are foul mouthed....would you do the same if she were a man heavily built like Anthony Joshua? Of course not! So, the plain truth is, men beat up their wives not because they are foul mouthed, but because they are mysogynists suffering from a stinking type of superiority complex.

Good morning, i believe the woman already made up her mind that the marriage is over before inviting her brothers to beat up her husband because such a home would definitely not work; I'm not holding brief for the man nor supporting his actions but the woman should equally park her things and go with her brothers to avoid stories that touch...

Something like this happened in our community some years ago.

The wife left the house with the brother after he and his friends beat up her husband when she reported to the brother.

Two days later, the husband went to the family home and later to the igwe palace to report the matter.

The matter was later settled by the igwe and the wife followed the husband back home, but........ The marriage never remain the same.


Its not advisable to beat up husband with relatives in marriage

No one has monopoly of craze everyone can imagine a more violent reprisal what ultimately matters is power money and clout in a country like Nigeria

How much money will it cost in Nigeria to break the legs of all those brothers or even pluck out all their front teeth or eyes
So the brothers went to beat husband what if husband arranges to beat their parents what next? With money you can arrange plenty beatings in Nigeria in fact beat their whole street neighbours go to their church and beat everybody

There are so many Nigerians that those brothers will try that with and lose their lives, obviously they saw the husband as weak just one or two examples. If somebody like Dangote, Wike a General in the Nigerian Army or Tompolo did this how many of those noise makers on this thread would make peem

Be as much that domestic violence from any side is not good.
But any action of the wife inviting a male relation to go physical with the husband,90% of such marriages never end well even if resolved later.

It is see finish on the side of the man, because no in-law will come to your house to beat you like a child if they don't see you as nothing through your wife action or inaction. At this point, separation is the best for this couple.

Those who are taking side without hearing from both side should know that the husband can equally decide that he is no longer interested in the marriage, that she should now get married to their brothers.
