Back in 2021 when I was doing futures, transaction and funding fees always run up to ~$2 at most, sometimes $1. This was on Binance if I remember well enough.

But with Bitget, I keep loosing ~$4 per trade, and my leverage never exceeds 5X. Am I the only on this boat?

It might depend on the coins that you were trading, your margin amount, or the volatility of the coin. I don't know much about Bitget, but on Binance, I have noticed that if a coin is experiencing a bullish trend, the funding fee becomes high. As for the transaction fee, check how they charge their fee. It should be on their site or you can find it on CoinMarket

My suggestion is, try to factor the charge when taking profit.

I just started this week after a long time. I have traded SOL and BNB only, so far. Even when I short them, they still charge the same amount. It’s really hurtful cos my trades are closed whenever I’m up by 3%. And my margins is around $400 to $500 on a 5X leverage. Imagine making $15 profit and Bitget is taking $4 from it.

I don’t use stop loss. Risky yeah, but I rely more on my analysis to believe that I can’t hit any Liquidation (especially with the top 5 coins). So far, I have only lost one trade so far at 3% loss, and it was intentional because the trade was taking more time than usual (lower volume and I was just emotional), and the coin was Pi. Other than that, I have 85.7% win rate so far. I don’t know if this answered your question.

I know this is for me. But don’t get me wrong, I am not advertising anything here nor will I tell anyone to trade this or that. I recently started following this thread so I can ask a question regarding the fees on futures. I know it’s good to be wary of random posts like that, but it’s not what you think. I am here to learn and to share my experiences with no ulterior motive (lols, I don’t even know how bad people do it in this space). I just started trading few days ago after raising about $500, and taking out the past months to learn different strategies in trading,

So take it this way, why? Because, if you make people now think I want to pull a scam or something, nobody will reply any questions I have.

Cheers.

I am not sure what he/she meant by that comment “dogs”. But I was assuming it may refer to me cos I have made some random posts that may sound as though I want to pull something. I am only here to learn and ask questions, cos I know a lot has changed ever since I left.

Damn! Except if this trade lingered past 24hrs, I won’t trade this coin ever again. I guess I can now rest anyways, since I’m not the only one. Thanks chief!

Re: Crypto Currency Investors Thread by Alphabyte3: 11:51am On Jul 23, 2025
Let your position size not be more the crypto size . The price is also suitable if it is equal to your funding not less than that is why most trader go to low cap coins due to low funding while rich investors go for big coins like BTC, BCH ,ETH a BNB, LTC and BNB . You can buy if your position size is more than the price . Not all trader can afford high cap coins
Re: Crypto Currency Investors Thread by Alphabyte3: 12:04pm On Jul 23, 2025
No one trade without looking at historical data which is the charts it tells you better technical analysis about supports and resistances . If you fail to study them it is not a good habit you will buy the top . Look at the moment USDT.D show green making it s slight sell off before market recovery.

Don't buy coin that don't have any plans because they are so sluggish and hardly move I advice you to pick from first 20 or 50 from coinmarketcap. Coinmarketcap has lots of features like overall market sentiment.
Re: Crypto Currency Investors Thread by Alphabyte3: 12:23pm On Jul 23, 2025
formula for trading signals it has some few problems but it is about 60% accurate in calculations.

Sell=1.05*price

Buy=0.95*price

Stop-loss (24 hours) =(high+low)/2

How long does it takes before trades are closed? That should be funding fees 😕.

so your risk reward ratio is like 1:1? I mean you risk 3% and aim to win 3%?

but 3% increase on a trade with initial margin of 400$ with 5x leverage isn't 15$ profit. I stand to be corrected though. Thats like i think 75$

All these trades were made with $400 margin, and 6x leverage. I use 5x for $500 margin and 6x for $400.

The first here is a close to $15 Pnl trade ($14.88). Here I used $400 with 6X. And I made 3.75% ROI (I.e 3.75% of $400). It does not apply to the leverage.

The second one is just $13 pnl with 6X leverage with the same margin. And the ROI is just 3.33% for the $400 as well.

I hope this helps.

Not at all, this will wreck anyone na. Honestly my initial strategy is 1:3 risk to reward ratio, but these days I realize that my trade is usually successful. But trust me, I have seen my trade go -$70, and I don’t panic cos I know the market has not left me, and after a couple of hours, I’ll still make my profit. Yeah the risk is great, but my analysis, indicators and confirmations usually help. And my liquidation is usually far away.

If you have any advice for me, pls do. In 2021 I lost a lost and left crypto, cos I didn’t ’t care about MACD, EMA, RSI etc. Back then, coins like SafMars, Feg, POSI, Ariva, SafeMoon, Santana Inu, Floki Etc were the coins that made us rich. But I later lost everything to futures.

But now I have learnt all that technical knowledge, but this does not guarantee that a market cannot have a sharp or quick turn. So In as much as this approach is risky but still benefiting for me, I am still open to advise too. Cheers.
