Slovenian top-flight side NK Celje has confirmed the signing of Nigerian defensive midfielder Papa Daniel from Nigeria Premier League club Niger Tornadoes on a three-year contract, set to run until June 30, 2028. The 23-year-old, who honed his skills at Fackson Nextpro Football Academy, gained early recognition in Europe after winning a championship title at just 19. His move to Celje marks a major step in his career as he joins the club's long-term plans in midfield. |

Buchi confirms. Osimehn was United's first choice, but they refused to pay him €12m
If this is just base salary. Then Ratcliffe is very useless. |

Sancho gone. Rashford gone. Casemiro the only high-earning unwanted player there and you can't pay €12m to your first choice striker, one of the best in the world. In truth, Chelsea have really revolutionised the way clubs offer salary. Look at how they are easily selling their players on profit cause of low salaries. But a top striker is a top striker, and Osimhen is up there with the best in the world This is very annoying |

Just in: . President of Napoli Aurelio De Laurentiis has made it clear that Galatasary must agree to a clause which bars them from selling Victor Osimhen to any other team in Italy in the future... This is what is holding up the final signatures and official announcement. |

I had an interesting thought this morning. What if our Super Falcons trained occasionally with the men (Super Eagles) so that they can push their physicality, stamina, mental resilience and endurance even further than it is now? How feasible is this approach? I want to hear the pundits' thoughts on this? p.s the people who have answered so far are only focusing on what the outcome of the matches would be. That's not what I'm talking about. Men's football is definitely on another level. No one with a functional brain can argue with that. The question is for the sake of Super Falcons' development. Obviously they'll lose, but with continuous matchups, how well will they adapt to the men's performance and style? And could it, in any way, prepare them adequately for their games against their fellow women? That was the point of the question. |

QueenJazz:A woman's limit is not determined by how hard they train. It's determined by physiology. So no matter how hard they train, Ikorodu under-18 boys will still wallop them 16-0 in the first 10 mins. The only thing they can improve is quality and skillset, and they don't need go that far to get all that |

QueenJazz:They can’t train or compete together due to speed, strength, and power, which are generally greater in men. The Switzerland female national team recently lost to Luzern U15 boys team 7-1 in a friendly. Mental resilience is a matter of mind set that can be built over time. Pushing female footballers physically will lead to a lot of Anterior Cruciate ligament (ACL) injuries. ( please refer to events just before the last World Cup). |

opes:Punting 20.3m on a teenage midfielder from Dortmund who was earning 3m and who you purchased for over 100m is the dumbest piece of business I've seen. Haaland who was already a world-class striker and was signed on the cheap by City about 50m was still given 19m. Despite earning 6.8m already at Dortmund |

Truidstarr:Also, The Golden Eaglets thrashed the Super Falcons 6-0 in a friendly match. The match details are from April 2014, where Chidera Ejuke scored a brace, and other scorers included Paul Obasi, Kingsley Michael, and Orji Okoronkwo, with Henry Daniel contributing three assists. This match was part of the Golden Eaglets' preparation under Coach Emmanuel Amuneke, who was impressed with the boys' performance, highlighting substance to build upon for future games. https://savidnews.com/golden-eaglets-thrash-super-falcons-6-0/ |

I think it is high time some structures are fitted in place for this league. A foundation that doesn't care about whose ox is gored or slaughtered. If a club can't meet minimum requirements to be at the peak of Nigerian club football, they should face the consequences and get out, declare bankruptcy and just shift abeg. The top division doesn't need this kind of drama. Let such drama thrive in NNL or NLO or any other N outside the NPFL. But once we are in the NPFL, if you try to mess up or hide behind some nepo moves or incompetence, then the rules that are on minimum requirements should take the fore This is 2025 na. And the fact this is under the watch of two of Super Eagles Legend again??!!!
