I barb my own hair as a guy with skin head but local prices vary depending on the area, ambiance of the shop, style/pattern, gender etc. Normally where I used to barb in Abuja is 2k. In the UK where I used to barb it's 12 pounds (N24,800 as of today's rate). So if you really want to compare it's cheap in Naija to cut hair.

My barber dey charge me 500 naira for home service ooo.
The first day he came, after barbing me I asked him for price and he said 500 naira. Since that day, that is what I give him each time he comes to Barb me and he is comfortable with it.

As I fear barbers having ownership of my hairs, I don port to self services, bought my clipper and bone down my hair myself each time, cost me only 15 minutes each time. Life no get replacement Abeg.

Which area do you Barb for 300 naira in kaduna, I just guess maybe all those rural village area. Try come to Banawa or Narayi sydes to Barb, you will shock.
