Mujtahida:I've been saying this too, we even used like our second XI for that game. In this competition, we might just PSG-Inter them if it was them we were going to meet in the final. |

BankyGee:They are not our match. Even Morocco are not our match but they have the boisterous home support. When we met them in 2022, even with 9 players they couldn't beat us. It was via penalties that we lost. But I pray they don't experience what SE experienced at the last Afcon. We beat SA and lost to the host. |

Mujtahida:We shld be able to beat dem Easily if we put out d same performance we played against South Africa 🇿🇦,dt was d only match I could say dt we looked like a team being coached …oda games were like 11 friends calling each oda to form a team and play against another country |

Mujtahida:I personally think before the 2010s, the Nigeria-Cameroon rivalry was more evenly balanced. Cameroon did beat us in three finals where it mattered most (AFCON 1984, 1988, 2000), but we still had many matches in those periods where we beat Cameroon handily. And in the past decade, Nigeria seems to have completely dominated Cameroon... at least for now. Contrast this with South Africa. Until very recently I can't think of any period in time where they really gave us issues. We've always had games with them in the bag for the most part. At least when it comes to the men. It's a bit tighter with the women I'll admit. South Africa are gradually becoming the powerhouse they used to be in the late 90s, so we'll have to wait and see how long it will take before they break the Nigeria curse, but for now, they remain our children in football. ![]() Speaking of which, I wonder when we'll break the Argentina curse too. I'm tired of them seeing us as a 3-point guarantee in international competitions. ![]() |

Odunayaw:I agree, not that bad. But, see it this way, he got a slot because he's homebased, not because he's got any skill set we lack in the team. He's now moved to Europe and then we compare him to his counterparts in Europe and find that he isn't measuring up and stop calling him, replace him with another homebased player to satisfy the quota. How do we build a team that way? |

AndSunGorilla:We're going without an actual recognised defensive midfielder in the squad, and an entirely diffrent midfield from those that qualified us against ghana, also some key names during the qualifiers were left out probably due to chelles tactical preferences. Overall I wish the team the best |

Tinneh:I think some of the guys that qualified have japaed, Papa Daniels, Fatokun and maybe the Rangers guy Savior too. I am interested in actually watching them play when the tourney starts. |

AndSunGorilla:That's true actually most got deals abroad, I was suprised by the exclusion of zayyad musa and the rangers center back |

It's the best move for him, that's game time in a team in the top 8 leagues in Europe. He won't get enough game time for his development at Brentford because he's down the pecking order in the CBs of the club. typicalgamer: |
