Upon they have shitty network, they still went ahead to employ very incompetent and saucy customer service agents.

That's good for Glo, their only night plan data bundle wen I dy enjoy, them go use imitation take increase the prices.

I bought my MTN line 2005 and glo 2006. For 19 years now, you can't make calls with glo any day, anytime and expect to hear the other person. Their browsing network is also terrible almost everywhere.

What kill glo is that they are yet to move to 4G.

They don't have the infrastructure to implement 4.5g network. Glo is operating 2g and 3g in most cities.

For many years I have not use 1% of my data each time I subscribed to glo.

It use to be very good like 6 years ago.

Their infrastructure has decay and lagging behind.

Mtn is th best.

What's happening to glo is the same thing with Nigeria banks. They needs foreign hands maybe from China

Telecom service sector has a very stiff competition for the share of the market.
Glo succeed in being known, but there service is a no.
It may or may not entirely be their fault.
Some Glo staff may be collecting bigger salaries from MTN while working at Glo.

Mine has been working PERFECTLY after roaming it on the MTN network. Search for a post on Nairaland about 9mobile been granted permission to roam on MTN. This was about a week or 2 weeks ago. Do what the poster says and ur 9mobile will be back

Naturally, Nigerians prefer MTN network. Many Nigerians including myself have more than one MTN lines, both old and new generation lines. The old generation lines are those lines that started with 0803 & 0806 while they new generational lines are those that started with 0810, 0814, 0707, 0941 etc.

The problem with MTN is that in some areas, their network use not to be stable when compared with Airtel.

Glo is the worst network provider in Nigeria. Their data bundles are nothing compared to those of other providers, their services, when you even bother to subscribe, is unstable cum epileptic and they keep boring subscribers with useless unsolicited adverts.

They have all these, and yet they can't use it to improve their own network? Doesn't sound logical.

The logical answer is that GLO is a money laundering outfit. Which is why they spend so much in adverts and celebs than in infrastructure and services.

Even though they all got their different issues MTN still remains the best network in Nigeria.


Airtel got fast network but the problem with them is that they use straw to suck data, their data don't last at all compared to MTN.......As for GLO even if you give me a GLO Sim loaded with data I won't accept it.



9Mobile's case is a story for another day, God bless the person who posted that thread some days back. I have switched over to MTN.

If you're lucky it came, it'll definitely come when it is late and expired.

But I have used my Glo line for over 15 years with peace and no complain whatsoever. Sometimes it sounds strange to me when people complain about Glo network. Or am I simply one of the lucky ones?

It is indigenous.
Most indigenous companies in Nigeria have suffered since APC parasite came in.

They have the best data service when it's working... But there service works 30% of a month.

I enjoy smooth streaming with Glo when the network is good but when it enters epilepsy mode, I switch back to MTN.

I use my glo line for OTP and it works
Maybe your line has its issues

My first SIM was Econet in 2003 , but when Vodacom took over they sold SIM cards for 1k and I bought five note SIM cards and that was in 2004 . So yeah Vodacom was the first to crash the cost of SIM cards not Globacom .
