My first SIM was Econet in 2003 , but when Vodacom took over they sold SIM cards for 1k and I bought five note SIM cards and that was in 2004 . So yeah Vodacom was the first to crash the cost of SIM cards not Globacom .

Naturally, Nigerians prefer MTN network. Many Nigerians including myself have more than one MTN lines, both old and new generation lines. The old generation lines are those lines that started with 0803 & 0806 while they new generational lines are those that started with 0810, 0814, 0707, 0941 etc.

The problem with MTN is that in some areas, their network use not to be stable when compared with Airtel.

If not for Glo a lot of people wouldn't have been able to purchase a sim card. There problem is poor service.

It's aitel and MTN turn to go totally below radii. Those two network providers have taken extortion into an unimaginable level. Al we need for them to be totally forgotten and buried ok s just one good competitor.

I'm not surprised. Instead of investing in their services so that customers will enjoy their network, but GLO chooses to waste that money on adverts...

But the Services are okay now... They are general improved. Just like other networks data to day standard.
Thought that talk that Glo is always slow has gradually sizzled off

Glo was my first mobile line. But 2011 I left them and bought MTN. Had some very terrible experience using glo. If it was developed country I would have sued them. Was using bold 2 blackberry then. So I did glo sub to browse my assignment to be submitted the following morning. Brethren glo no open a single page, I tried and tried until my battery was low, I nearly cried that day. The following day the lecturer sent us out and labeled us in serious student, just imagine what glo caused me. That was the day I removed glo and moved to MTN. Anytime I remember that day it changes my mood. Glo no serious at all.

Even though they all got their different issues MTN still remains the best network in Nigeria.


Airtel got fast network but the problem with them is that they use straw to suck data, their data don't last at all compared to MTN.......As for GLO even if you give me a GLO Sim loaded with data I won't accept it.



9Mobile's case is a story for another day, God bless the person who posted that thread some days back. I have switched over to MTN.
