But why..
Why would a wife not want you to leave long after all your sleepless nights in university, job hunting, making right decisions with God's help, owning a property before meeting her.
Somehow along the line, the wife would not mind you exiting and leaving her and the children at young age.
The thought hurts badly.
Why would women be so heartless to wish something like that on their so called spouse.
Why would a woman forget your struggle before excelling and God answering your prayers.
Even before meeting her, God have blessed you with assets but coming into your life to cut it short. That's is too troubling to think about.

I am never writing a will. I buy things in the names of those i wish to bequeath them to and when I transcend each takes what belongs to them. I have a few joint account signatories with me, they will continue to manage my investments and take the returns on investment. Proving a Will at Probate, etc enriches government at the expense of my loved ones and yes, I am a lawyer.

A will becomes necessary once you start acquiring properties and starting a family. However, a Will is not enough especially for Nigerians who live abroad. Put your assets in a Trust so that when you go, your debt won’t be transferred to your family.

I always had this mindset that wills are for wealthy people not people rich within million mark.

That aside it's best you write a will once you start earning or when you have assets to your name . No matter how little you make.
