He contested for the highest office in his state and got over 480,000 votes, marginally losing to the incumbent Governor. It has shown how popular and widely accepted he is in his home state. You can't say such of other Chairmen of opposition. Can David Mark deliver Benue?, even as a sitting Senate President, he lost Benue. LP factional Chairman, Nnenadi Usman is a light paper in Kaduna. Iliya Damagun of PDP can't deliver Yobe either.
I am even more confident, lf INEC introduced e-voting, Nantawe would bring his expertise to bear. Opposition attempts at hacking INEC'S server and diverting APC votes will be ultimately disabled.

The gentleman is NOT a "young man" at 57 like you stated. A person is largely refered to as young if he or she is less than 40 years of age.

I hope you're aware that the same people who voted this man in Plateau, proceeded to vote Peter Obi in the Presidential election?
The fact he is an APC Chairman does not automatically mean that the entire votes he got in Plateau during the 2023 election will go to Tinubu, neither does it mean that his position can persuade voters to vote for APC. No be so politics dey

I don't like the man much in this portfolio. He would have just gone back to the school system or await contesting a second time for governorship, or maybe, the senate. home here, many people don't like him either. The whole lot that brewed between him and the current governor especially during their tribal festivals which all were held same day still hangs on his neck.

To me, this appointment will reverse by strength and might, the love Tinubu already had in Plateau. Anything that had once hurt Mutfwang is a no no for the normal plateau man. I don't know what is so tech about this man. Tinubu should have better given someone else. That man might have been better as a minister of education, maybe youths and sports though... based on experience with him. If I were him, I'd go back to the academia.

His appointment was very strategic, no one is kicking, no division, APC is one house over his appointment and it's going to a big factor going into next election.

Someone who once worked as INEC commissioner. He is truly a strategist and he will want to display this in 2027 with his boys still in INEC, but God will not grant him a favourable chance to perform his so-called "strategy" in rigging the election.
