Wadoh:
The swift response by the CP demonstrates a firm commitment to accountability and justice within the police force. By summoning the involved officers and ordering an orderly room trial, the leadership is sending a clear message that such barbaric acts will not be tolerated under any circumstances. Detaining the officers pending investigation ensures that due process is followed while maintaining public trust. Encouraging witnesses or anyone with information about the victim to come forward shows transparency and a genuine desire to uncover the truth. This approach upholds the rule of law and reassures the community that the police force is dedicated to protecting citizens and rooting out misconduct within its ranks.
Hmm good one that is if the CP actually means what he is saying....

I had this similar experience with Nigerian police at Delta state, Ogwashi ukwu to be precise (Near Ogwashi ukwu polytechnic) . On Easter Sunday 2023.

I narrowly escape death that day because I requested politely to be looking at them while they conduct their search on my car. One of them even shoot at me but missed me. cry . They said that even if they killed me, nothing will happen.

They asked me to face the wall while they search my car... One of them implanted something the called weed seed. And they abduct me. cry

One of them was smoking and drinking heavily while on duty....

The later force me to make transfer to them before they release me.
I have to concur with them because of my life.

Nigerian police seriously need reform and retraining.

Why did they turn their faces? They should show us their ugly cursed faces so that we will know them.

Foolish Statement - or is it Egbetokun that Sent them there?
Has this not been the Police 🚓 Characters in Nigeria Since Ages?
-Stop the hate, for its illusionist statements and tell us how the Police Institution In Nigeria Can Improve - for the People they are Serving!
1. There Should Be Training and Re-Training of Our Policemen Inside Out.
•We don't want a Situation where just Selected Few Policemen - but ALL SHOULD BE TRAINED AND CONTINUOUS Training- in Handling of the INNOCENT 😇 Masses.
2.ALL POLICEMEN IN NIGERIA SHOULD HAVE- CAMERAS 🤳 -ON THEM-
• TO RECORD EVERYTHING THEY ARE DOING AND THE CAMERAS SHOULD BE PUT ON- THROUGH OUT THE DAY,TO RECORD ⏺️ EVERYTHING POLICEMEN ARE DOING - INCLUDING THOSE ON THE HIGHWAYS.
THIS IS WHAT IS HAPPENING IN US,UK AND EUROPEAN COUNTRIES!

•ATTENTION PRESIDENT TINUBU:
PLEASE,SIR,LET THE ABOVE SUGGESTIONS COMES INTO EFFECT TO KNOW WHO AND WHAT OUR POLICEMEN ( INCLUDING SECRET POLICE )🚓 AND LET US EXPOSED THE BAD EGGS and Those Who Are Compromising Nigeria INTEGRITY.
3.All Security Personnel in Nigeria Should Have Webcam Cameras 🤳 - so those Patronising Terrorists Can Easily Be Arrested and dealt with!
You try sha.
Is it the same Police that is poorly paid and very poorly maintained that will be carrying body cameras? The same officers that "buy their uniforms and other kits themselves"?
You are just day-dreaming and putting the cart before the horse.
I don't hate IGP Egbetokun because I have no personal dealings with him. What I hate is his inefficiency and how the Police have become more useless under his watch.
Our Police now wake up, get dressed, carry their arms and then go stand at road blocks to check vehicle papers and extort money, that's all!
This is all they do day-in, day-out...

Them don demote or drive them from the force.very irritating fellows
Certainly would lose their jobs. That’s one very serious challenge not just in Asaba, but in Delta state as a whole. Driving on highways and major communities in Delta state sometimes can be risky. You see policemen at checkpoints in Asaba and Warri particularly and begin to wonder whether there’s war going on. That front of St. Patrick’s Asaba sometimes looks like a battle ground with too many policemen mounting checkpoints.

It is so sad. I hope our beloved Delta state can find peace from security personnel and cultists.
