the last people i care about are Nigerian police. They have collected enough bribes to cater for their pensions!

The girls tried but the money is too much. The national awards and maybe 30k is okay including the house. Imagine soldiers who are dying in the North and we don't celebrate them. This magnanimity of the president might discourage some people who are laying their lives for the country

All these for just eyes service. Many Nigerians cannot afford basic things of life but here is the president doing jamboree with the money they made us believe they don't have to make life easy for the masses.

In the abroad, do presidents remove subsidy to save $84 billion by hiking fuel prices, so they can steal more money to bribe politicians who will keep them in power, so they can get even more luxury for themselves?

The supplementary budget also proposes almost 6 billion naira to purchase SUVs for the presidency — more than the amount initially allocated to fund a student loan program for poor families.

He is not talking about who earns more. He is talking about being duly compensated for their service. A $100k cash gift to a footballer who earns thousands, and million of pounds annually, while a police receives little to nothing after retirement is unfair. These are some of the reasons why corruption and extortion can never leave our civil service.
