That's not fair, to be frank. Currently, the children are nine-year old first, second one 7 years and third one five all came before Tinubu came to power. Father was earning 200k and mother was full time housewife and the money was far enough. That is why I said they require intentionality and resources. This covers emotional, physical, spiritual, educational and financial needs. I don't know how Nigerians handle the first 4 needs, but I am tired of people with more kids than me asking me for money because they think I have less(er) responsibilities.😩

But my sister, wealth alone in not enough to raise kids as I find myself emotionally unavailable lots of time for all of them. My last want to swim everyday, my first son wants to play basketball, daughter has to attend dancing classes. At the end it's like you never get to have a life of your own. Even if you have all the money, you are still completely drained.
Once, I was at a PTA meeting till 10.30pm for one child.

All the various dramas and other activities they did, I couldn't enjoy one bit because my phones were ringing constantly with work related calls. It was as if I went to jail and the young man was busy peeping towards where I was seated to see me with joy written all over his face without knowing that his dad's spirit wasn't there.



Honestly to be a father in this our generation is not easy. You are lucky your kids are grown up, we that still have tender kids are not finding it funny at all. They don't even know when you are tired or need space. My daughter wants to cuddle me 247, if possible when driving too lolz



Government should make a law restricting parents of our time from birthing more than 2 kids. If you birth more than 2, there should be some form of tax you must be paying monthly to government so that people can have sense and birth kids they can cater for

But on a lighter note, having just one kid is as good as sharing boundary with somebody without a child. It is a saying in my dialect.

Funny enough, it's mostly women, Nigerian women especially that insist on having more kids. Some see it as a great achievement while some want to have a battalion of children to discourage their husbands from ever thinking of marrying a second wife

My footballer son needs my attention, advice, scorecard, wants to know how far about the scouts, he's schooling, he's trying to develop one app or the other, ....all na me dey "advice, counsel, pray with, talk with"!!
My senior son, needs advice on how his plans about setting up a business, his courses in school, I should edit his planned stories he's interested in developing into 3d cartoon...all na my table....
My darling daughter, 15 y/o, need me to check her physics, chemistry and mathematics lessons etc to be sure she's doing it well,...na my table, and not as though I was good at these subjects when I was in secondary school...and me self get work outstanding on site, drawings, reports....
But guess what, I am enjoying the fact that they feel I know all....and we're all good!!
I tell myself I have to enjoy myself with them as the best thing that I can treasure! Phew!!

I agree with you. I told my youngest sister who depends on me that I will cut her off if she gets pregnant the third time when they can barely feed two.

Its a non invasive surgery and I would have had it after our second kid. It was all done in 30 minutes. My wife came from a small family and insisted on lore kids. I was a fool for going along.
