I've collated some views wrt America
EU deal.
EU will buy $750B of gas to reduce Russia dependency. Last I checked EU is a 27 nation block. It doesn't buy anything,best it can do is negotiate on behalf of it's members. Countries within EU according to the agreement have the option of buying Qatari gas for example if it's cheaper. Definitely it is due to distance and abundance.

Catch. EU countries don't export too much to above example Qatar. They do intra trade and quite a number main export is to America.
They will buy LNG gas at a higher price from America. But thats the beauty of contractual futures and hedging.
