anonimi:Is that not you, shown below, praising Tinubu and his predecessors, from 1999 onwards, as being better than "first class" Otti and Soludo in "the area of free basic education for all children"? If the two are not better than the four governors of Lagos State since 1999, in the area of free basic education for all children, then how is their first class degree not a waste? A total and complete waste to the society! |

All I know is that good governance is different from being intelligent or smart. We have many intelligent people in this country even though I don't like some of them because of their tribal bigotry and political differences.Wole soyinka is intelligent but a tribal bigot,Ffk is very intelligent and smart but very tribalistic, reno is intelligent and smart but very bigot and always putting division among the people of the country.kenneth okonkwo is intelligent and smart but he is not trustworthy to rely on.Elrufia is very intelligent and smart but very tribalistic and religious fanatic.MNk is intelligent and smart but going about Biafra in a wrong direction. We have men and women of intelligent in all the tribes of Nigeria,na our leaders be the problem. |

1mansolder:Lol. Some of you cannot see how you are guilty of what you allege against others. Kenneth Okonkwo you did not attach tribalism and bigotry to as you did with Soyinka, Omokri, FFK and El Rufai. You merely castigated Okonkwo as "untrustworthy". Ditto the vile hate preachers and uber ethno-religous bigot Kanu that you absolved of tribalistim and bigotry you charged all others with, to claim his failing is "going about Biafra in a wrong direction". Surely it must be obvious to you that your clearly biased comment show what you are. |

coputa:It's not about being known, respected globally or having high grade academic qualifications..... It's about what meaningful and tangible values which have brought out meaningful and tangible seeable and sellable results these persons have added and contributed to their environment, society and the global community in their respective fields of academia and careers. Thank you. |

WizardOfNG:If they are NOT better, does not mean that any of them is being praised. It means they are all failures in the provision of basic education for all children. |

It is first class performance that we need. I don't care which school or grade a doctor has but his expertise in discharging his duty. |

coputa:@coputa What you typed is historically incorrect. I know it was an unintended error on your part. You have to re-edit your post so that some uninformed readers don't further spread that misinformation which Professor Oluwole Soyinka has already debunked. The iconic 1986 Nobel Laureate, Professor 'Wole Soyinka graduated with a Second Class Upper Division. I remember that he debunked this FALSE rumors about the Third Class result in 2013. Always do your fact-checks properly with a simple Google search or advanced search tools. 1. I made second class upper - Soyinka =>https://www.vanguardngr.com/2013/07/i-made-second-class-upper-soyinka/ 2. Soyinka's Mythical Third-Class and Our Excuse for Failure =>https://archive.businessday.ng/uncategorized/article/soyinkas-mythical-third-class-and-our-excuse-for-failure/ Again, here's EVIDENCE from a 2013 interview right BELOW from Vanguard and Guardian newspapers reposted on NL where Professor 'Wole Soyinka debunked the FALSE rumors of him graduating with a 3rd class. 3. I Graduated With 2nd Class Upper From University Of Ibadan Prof. Wole Soyinka =>https://www.nairaland.com/1359348/graduated-2nd-class-upper-university#16808270 I hope that helps. |

coputa:Not true, though it has been peddled for quite some time. Wole Soyinka did not make 3rd class but 2nd Class Upper on graduation. You can google it and verify, please. Thank you. NB: There are are very intelligent and smart people out there who graduated with 3rd class but Prof Soyinka is not one of them |

Obakoolex:Indeed, that's the 2013 interview the iconic Professor 'Wole Soyinka had debunking that "3rd-class degree" FALSE rumors right BELOW. A simple fact-check with an internet-enabled mobile device would help a lot of people in clarifying basic historical issues from credible sources. I made second class upper - Soyinka =>https://www.vanguardngr.com/2013/07/i-made-second-class-upper-soyinka/ |

reverendfather:You have spoken well my brother. Our education system is not helping young sharp mind to fully explore their God given potential due to unnecessary courses, poorly structured lecture times to mention few. I was a barber in my undergraduate days. My shop was 77km away from ABU, Zaria. I purposely not moved it to Zaria so that I can be 100% dedicated to academics while in school and do the same to business. Some lecturers will fail to come to class in accordance with the time on the timetable and still be threatening you with attendance. But I was unfazed, I already gone through all of these in my ND days even while studying tougher course like chemical engineering and graduated with upper credits despite the unencouraging 1st semester result. |
