The Wonsan Kalma coastal resorts shows a big investment, that's Kim Jong-un's plan to boost the economy The high cost might stop many people from visiting. At the same time, Nigeria, with President Tinubu's strong leadership is working hard to improve its own infrastructure. We are getting there gradually.
is this the demonstration of tinubus "strong leadership"?

North Koreans are not breeding like rabbits. The country has population control. In Nigeria, that resort would become an IDP camp within a week. Just look at the uncontrolled internal immigration to Lagos, which is now full of ghetto's and illegal settlements.

The excuse that Lagos was the former capital 35 years ago, hence it must welcome the entire country and the country's problems, is one of the reasons Nigeria has failed as a country. Tinapa, which was built in Cross River State, is now a relic despite having better facilities than the North Korean resort(world-class convention centre and rainforest)
What would you recommend. Visas to visit Lagos?

It is about an hour by plane from Pyongyang, the capital, to Wonsan, and another 5 minutes from the airport by bus. Transportation around the resort is free.

A week-long vacation is estimated at around $2,000 for a couple.
An average person can't walk 4 kilometres within an hour.

Critical thinking is one of the biggest downfalls of African people; we never solve problems until it's too late. We will continue with the uncontrolled internal migration until it's too late, and then resort to ethnic violence because we refuse to implement policies that will control internal migration.

The Chinese use the Hokou system to manage internal migration; you can't just travel to a state or city and arrange your accommodation, or state your purpose of travel. This is the reason why China, with 1.5 billion, don't have ghetto or illegal settlements and all the insecurity and upheaval that come with uncontrolled internal migration.

The Chinese internal migration system, primarily known as the hukou system, regulates and controls the movement of people within China. Established in 1958, it links citizens' rights and access to social services to their registered place of birth, making it difficult for migrants to obtain local hukou in new locations. This system has significantly impacted the lives of millions of internal migrants, particularly those moving from rural to urban areas, by limiting their access to education, healthcare, and other essential services.

Kudos to North Korea, first they built a world class hospital and now this.

The roads look great, the cities are properly lit.

Two things one failed country I know of cannot boast of

It would have been more better than Nigeria if there is no restriction in some areas. If you look @ those pictures very well, cars are not many on their roads, the beach is not populated by the citizens and foreigners may become spies within short period.

How would this system work in a Nigeria without social services and where most people do everything for themselves?
Do you think migrants to Lagos are coming to collect any social services here? I dont think so.

how many north koreans can afford to go to this resort?

North Korea has been under extreme sanction for the best part of 70 years , yet the country has a 100 literacy , can build its own satalite and delivery system and build work class tourist resort.

Nigeria has the 11th largest oil reserve in the world and the 7th largest gas reserve in the world, yet the country is now the 20th poorest country in the world

I thought they said North Korea is a joyless nation?
How come their girls are allowed to wear bikini and go to beaches?

But on a serious note, wouldn't they world be a better place if dictators who have sound ideas of growth and development assume office and take the right decisions?

Why do some people campaign against dictatorship?

Look at Ibrahim Traore's Burkina Faso developing right before our very eyes?

Why would we have a very passionate revolutionary only to replace him after four or eight years with billions of dollars wasted in conducting elections?

Why would such a person not be a life president?
Have you been to Burkina Faso before? Or you rely on social media and news outlets?

My problem with North Korea is that, they can just suspect you of being a spy and that's it! You're not coming back. I don't like to endanger my life by going to politically volatile places like that.
You're not in their target market.

Its obvious. Commercial opportunities. That's the same in many countries - people tend to flock to the commercial nerve centre which Lagos is.

The real way to stem the tide is to ramp up commerce and industry across the country.

Are there any social services in any part of Nigeria? I am not aware.

Here in Lagos its pretty much each man / estate for himself / itself.

Uncontrolled Internal immigration to Lagos is a result of the localisation of almost all the country's commercial infrastructure there. Don't forget, a bulk of this infrastructure was developed using the country's commonwealth.

Same way you can't stop everybody from moving to Abuja.

That’s where the need to have nuclear weapons play a major factor.

Bomb the country of a nuclear power and stand the risk of being hit with nuclear strikes
