I think we should use Nairaland's wide reach and popularity to help this family find closure on this sad situation.

Her name is Aisha Abubakar S/Fada. She left her home in Birnin Kebbi, Kebbi State, 30 years ago to stay with her mother in Ibadan. Since then, we have not heard from her.

We have been searching for her over the years, but all efforts to find her have been unsuccessful.

She is urgently needed back home.

30yrs is a long time. Why did they wait till now. Many accidents happen on the road and if the corpses are not claimed within a certain time the government will bury them. Either she got into an accident or she went to meet someone else and not her mother. She could have simply run away too.

I watched a documentary on something like this.

A little girl was kidnapped when she was 10 years old and she was missing for over 40 years.

The family intensified the search for the missing girl after many years because the mother of the child was dying and her last wish was to see her daughter before she departed from this earthly existence.

There should be an AI composite picture of what she might look like now and with that start checking the routes from her village to Ibadan. It will be an intensive venture so they need to be psychologically and financially capable.

And judging from the picture she isn't a baby when she left home, if she truly wanna return she would have done that since.

Definitely in her fifties at least and probably with no means of communication.
Too many possibilities. Could have been hypnotized by one man and kept in his home, using the evil powers.
Perhaps also chose to cut off her family.
The worst would be loss of her life in different ways, but hopefully not to those evil people with get rich quick ideas.

The location where she is missing doesn't gives hope of her ever be found again.

There are many cases like this across the country.

A man moved into my neighborhood with his son for a fresh start after recently losing his wife. His boy was still very young, about 8 or 9. I was only a little bit older than him. The man worked offshore for three weeks at a time and had one a week's break.

Before going to work, he would take his son to his relatives who lived not too far from where we lived before embarking on his journey solo to work. It became such a regular routine that everyone was aware of. Until one day when his colelahfuee called his family asking where he was because they've been waiting for him. The family was shocked. They said the day he dropped his son off and left was the last time they saw him. They ran to our neighborhood to check if he was still there and that's how we got to find out. But the day he went to drop off his son was the last time anybody in the neighborhood also saw him.

Days turned to months and then years and he was never heard from again. This happened close to two decades ago.

For good 30 years? Just forget about her already, it's either she's dead or she has died.

From the whole story, the poster never mentioned about her mother. Let us know if she arrived at Ibadan first before we know what to say.

If she didn’t try to contact them in 2001, expect the worst. We’re no longer in the 90’s where communication was challenging. Almost every Nigerian has a GSM. I fear the worst happened to her.

She's probably in her late twenties or mid thirties in this picture. She probably is in her 60s now if she is still alive. May God help you retrace her steps.
