But here’s the thing: even when it's still showing “Pending,” you can print out your application slip or save a screenshot — that’s what I advise anyone driving a tinted car to carry with them for now, just in case you get stopped.

Also, if after 3–4 working days nothing comes up, it might mean the system didn’t schedule it properly — and that’s where a lot of people get stuck. There are ways to sort it, but it depends on the exact issue.

Some of us bought our cars factory tinted , so what will be our reason for the tinted ,minus the medical and security?

Factory-fitted is a legit option on the portal — but you must still upload a supporting document or justification, or else the portal go hang your application on “Pending Forever FC” 😅

🧠 Breakdown of the 3 Reasons You Can Pick:

1️⃣ Medical 🩺

Best for people claiming light sensitivity, migraines, or eye issues.

Upload Needed: Medical report (typed, signed, stamped by clinic/hospital).

Easy to get & very common.


2️⃣ Security 🔐

Best for high-profile individuals, government workers, or sensitive profession.

Upload Needed: Official letter of endorsement or work ID, e.g., from DSS, company, law firm, etc.

Not advisable if you don’t have such backing — e fit delay you.


3️⃣ Factory Fitted 🚘

This is what people with Tokunbo or brand-new rides from Europe/US select.

Upload Needed:
✅ A clear photo of the car showing the factory tint
✅ Some people also attach a manufacturer’s sticker, VIN tag, or the glass itself showing factory tint coding
✅ In the reason field, you simply write:

“This vehicle was imported with factory-installed privacy glass. The tint is not aftermarket.”

💥 HOT TIP:

Even if your tint is factory-fitted, don’t just select that and leave uploads blank. The system doesn’t care unless you show evidence.

No! Cmr is a compulsory document that is to be attached with your other documents which includes vehicle license , road worthiness, insurance

But it’s not a requirement to apply for your tinted permit
