I notice everyone here only does money market. Are there other people investing in other funds.
I have been investing in the equity and balances funds with stanbic for 5 years now and the return exceeds mmf. Average of 40-60 % pa.

I have both Stanbic and United capital equity funds and really like others noted, it's not for the faint hearted.

I opened them about two years ago following the surge in stocks at that time. To my shock however, they both dropped sharply by almost 30% early 2024. Thankfully though my Stanbic funds has currently almost doubled while UCAP is about 50% higher.

Just to emphasize again that it is extremely volatile so potential investors should be very cautious.

I tried topping up my ARM MMF account through the ARMone app, but instead, a new MMF account was created and credited with the money, I don't know where the issue is or what to do to rectify it. Can anyone here help? Thank you
Is it not the Wema virtual account? Normally your wallet should be credited within few hours, if it's during working days.

I know previously one could pay into a dedicated account, but it appears that option has been removed with this latest update on their app.

The reason most of us don't seem to promote it is because we see it as ADVANCE stage, which is not for everyOne.
Same way your maths teacher often uses simpler examples to teach you, then give you assignment (which often are more difficult) to solve.

You don't want a newbie to get started on a loosing streak. Start with MMF, then you decide whether to remain there or explore

Lol... The rate wasn't as high as this 5 years ago. At a point it went as low as 8% but we hope to enjoy the 20% we have now for a long time.

Hope you have other investments? Buy shares too o for long term. You can be doing like 5% - 10% in Stocks if your risk appetite is low. Diversify your investment.

Stock Market definitely not for JJC.

I got burnt several years ago. Lost about 40% value, My mistake was exiting inside of just letting it be. Most of my picks have done over 300% considering the price i entered their positions that year.

My question to you, at the bolded. At what profit margin mark are you looking to sell or is the plan to just hold them for years in perpetuity.

****************
P.S - Attached is the WAPCO i forget to sell from that year. It has done x6.5 embarassed

N2 million would have turned to N12 million by now. Anyways we learn and grow. We go again

STANBIC equity fund still never had a losing year regardless, so you never needed to panic. Just to hold through.

Yes, but inflation was less then as well and the value of naira was reasonable. I know the rate wil reduce as time goes on but before the end of Tinubu’s term, it won’t be less than 15 % because as long as fuel
Price remains high, the cost of living by implication inflation will be up there

No, I don’t. Maybe from next year, I’ll invest in fbn quest smart beta equity fund…
I have a good feeling about it.
My mmf is with Stanbic and I’m cool with them

Yes, you can.
You can even decide to top up everyday.
But do so early in the morning so that you get interest for that same day

I credited my Stanbic IBTC mutual fund with my personalised Mutual fund account since 8am today, until this moment, it is yet to reflect and is very unusual, please what could be the cause?

It's weekend already. You have to wait till Monday (business day) for it to reflect and also, your interest starts counting from Monday.

If the rate was fixed you should be expecting +\- N30 increment. However, did you reinvest interest?
