Lagos Resident Laments Economic Hardship, Hunger Under Tinubu, Confesses To Beating Elderly People, Others To Make Tinubu President

A Lagos state resident has lamented his inability to get petroleum despite beating people including the elderly to vote for President Bola Tinubu in 2023.

In a video posted on social media, he narrated how life had been hard for him despite all he did to ensure Tinubu became Nigeria’s President.

He said, “We wanted to buy fuel but we have been unable to get. They even beat us at the petroleum station. I was among those that beat people at Idi-Oro.

“We went from house to house, asking people to vote for you (referring to Tinubu). You emerged as the President and now you are destroying our lives. Getting food to eat is difficult for us.”

He noted that despite the hardship, different agencies in the state have kept milking them through taxation.

"I voted for Jagaban, I was among those that flogged people we refused to vote Tinubu at Idi-oro. We went from House to House attacking people who didn't vote for Jagaban, Today I am regretting”.

He said, “We are suffering in Nigeria, we have become lazy even in our own father’s land. We are drivers and that’s how we survive. LASTMA (Lagos State Traffic Management Agency), VIO (Vehicle Inspection Office) all collect money from us. Please Tinubu, do something about this hardship.

“We are the same people that beat up others so you could become the President. Some of them people we beat were our father’s mates, but we beat them up. We did that just because of you so you could become the President, and we kept saying it was our turn.

“Look at it now, the outcome is suffering, we cannot even buy rice again. You cannot buy N1000 food and be okay. I bought food of N1200 today and my kids have not eaten at home.”

He also expressed worry that he would be beaten for the comments he was making about Tinubu.

“I know that what I have said now, they will still come to beat me at home. I know that for sure,” he said.

How can he have skills when ebilokan and other governors of the past 26 years of democracy have been stealing money that should employ teachers to educate every single child free?

They are stealing money that could pay their state’s counterpart fund to get the UBEC federal funds for nine years free and compulsory education for all children.

UBEC that was established in 1999 during Obasanjo/Atiku PDP administration.

Politics, they say, is a dirty game!

Conversely, politics could also be hilarious, comical and most times, outlandish.

The Op. says "a supporter of Tinubu in the 2023 election" now regrets his action as being a misadventure.

Then, this same "supporter" is simply called "anonymous"!

You got to be kidding me!

If "Mr Anonymous" can't disclose his identity, this may just be the handiwork of the opposition.

Brace up for more concoction of deliberate falsehoods as the 2027 general elections draw closer.

It's a part and parcel of the political chess game!

However, one would repeat it for the umpteenth time that Tinubu remains the man to beat come 2027.

Pretending that all is well would amount to self-deceit, no doubt.

Things are pretty tough but there lies light at the end of the tunnel.

The economy would sooner than later get back on its feet.

This is what is meant by the "Renewed Hope" agenda of Mr President.

The harder the battle, the sweeter the victory!

Given the likely contestants to come up against the Jagaban of the universe, one doesn't see any of them with the capacity, statecraft, know-how and the war chest to remove the Asiwaju from office.

Take it to the bank!

Tinubu till May 28th, 2031!

As 2027 draws nigh, as always they will select a few bloggers and celebrity influencers. They pay them good sum of money. In return, the influencers and bloggers form a WhatsApp group and decide on what line of action to lead their gullible followers to additional years of agony. Celebrity endorsements are not free. Do you think the many people dancing on campaign grounds know these? The ignorant masses are always the sacrificial lambs.

To think that if a politician is in power your problems will disappear is the illusion of many people.

You need to keep working...keep making decisions that will better your life.

There is poverty is every country on earth. Poverty rate may vary but there will always be poor people. You need to decide whether you want to be poor or not and work towards your goal irrespective of the person in power

Buhari is far better than tinubu any way you choose to look at it.

Tinubu is a big failure

If you love yourself and care for the well being of your family, don't support tinubu in 2027 because it will be tougher if he gets second term (God forbids)
I didn't vote Tinubu in 2023, but 2027 is must. My vote is for BAT. Before I can barely feed myself, wife and two kids but now I have added 2 more kids and I'm not begging.
I can't even believe I'm surviving with 4 kids.

Wale Edun has the answer to this question.

Will you listen to him, or will you argue with him?
We know this, many Nigerians know this, it doesn't take a Wale edun to state the obvious, a hellish reality for all Nigerians is more than salient.
That aside, who is the chief security officer of the country? Who is to blame for the insecurity? who is supposed to awaken the near non existent, under equipped and underpaid security outfits? Who is more focused on winning the next election rather than making sure Nigerians can afford to stay alive until that day comes?
Oh well, the facts are everywhere, it is left to us as a people to want to look and make sense of them, Nigerians have never been poorer, kidnappings, killings by several terrorist groups have never been this worse, farmers are scared to go to farm, the food producing states have become death traps, someone in Gaza has higher chances of survival than inhabitants of these places.
We can decide to look away and be senselessly partisan, make terrible decisions and support evil because we or our kins aren't directly suffering the inactions of these bad leaders, or because one way or the other we are benefiting from the corruption that has festered into all sectors, the impunity, posterity will judge us.
Across the world, we are being mocked, and rightly so, from health care to power, Agriculture, Aviation, security and even basic amenities, there has never been a bigger failure in the history of Nigeria than the present administration, yet there are legions, poor, starving and struggling still singing the praises of these leaders, I'm Nigerian and I'd not be mad if an outsider questioned the intelligence of the multitude of the Nigerian people, even goats scream and run when they accidentally stick their hooves in fire.
Anyways, we'll see what becomes of the country in 10 years, let us see if we'll be discussing prosperity, security, justice, or cannibalism and a much reduced life expectancy will be the reality among the poor, while the rich get fat and in perfect health.
