I have never seen a single Asian, especially Chinese, with this "problem ".
Theirs are a beauty to behold. Especially the ladies. Just "kpom" like a dot on a paper. Firm flat belly with this sexy "kpom"!

May be placenta isn't properly cut, that's why it would start growing. So, better to seek doctor advice to stop growing, because it may be not comfortable for you in the future.

It is called an umbilical hernia. It is due to a defect in the wall of the abdomen. As the infant grows, it normal reduces on it's own. However if by 5 or 6 years old and it has not reduced, surgery can be done to fix the defect.

Is the surgery difficult or easy stuff?

Some people are willing to go that route but are just afraid of getting complications while at it.

I had this kind of navel growing up too. At some point, people even described me by it—it became part of my identity.
I remember fighting back then, and somehow, some people were afraid of me. I became a kind of “terror” if they describe me with that feature.
Funny enough, my navel is so small now. How time changes things.

For ladies I hear it goes away after pregnancy.

This is also wrong. Guys, you have the internet on your fingertips, use it! There are research papers in journals to destroy this stereotype that comes from ignorance and projection. I will give you a soft landing though because you wrote "from my observation". A lot of people sit in their homes, with limited travel and exposure and draw wrong conclusions about life. It's annoying.
