You are fat cause you eat like a hungry lion, so you always have calories than your body needs. When you are calorie deficient (take less calories than your body needs), you lose weight.

Metabolism rates change for everyone at different stages in life depending on different factors. So, it is not necessarily a good excuse to use fo weight gain.

Some can eat and have no food...

It's done to correct mal-oclussion. Improper arrangement of teeth. And the right name is Dental Braces.

I don't think it really worth going to that level because of losing waste. Intermittent fasting could have even do much better job over a long period of time which is far more sustainable.
