I just hope people realize that there is no time to prove any point. The end is near, there is only one hope and good news, that is Jesus came into the world, he was God, yet, he became flesh, and paid for our sins on the cross, he died, was buried and rose again on the third day amen.

And he promised to come back for his church, he has prepared a place for us. Now he is coming to take us home.

And its easy now, but after the church age, its will be terrible, its better to accept now than later. You will not gain from the world, but you will gain everything in Jesus Christ.

I am rejoicing that Jesus is coming, its the most wonderful event in history, finally i get to see heaven and be as i was mearnt to be. Like Jesus, a living being.

Based on the age definition of Gen-Z, I don't qualify. However, I grew up listening, reading and watching religious texts, music and books. But along the line, I saw how hypocritical, cruel and dishonest so-called religious people tend to be. They don't practice what they preach. Where things changed was when some of them defrauded my mom (I wasn't readily aware) and when I was aware, I fought them.

The way religion is practiced in Nigeria and by our people tends to be very hypocritical, unforgiving and disingenuous. Even at school, those you'd think are close to heaven by the way they portrayed themselves, one would hear tales about them that even you "the sinner" has never committed. Whether lecturers o or students o, they were outrightly dishonest. Additionally, the 2023 elections revealed a lot of hypocrisies and lies.

Furthermore, I live in a country where the majority don't follow Abrahamic religions and have learned that one can be good while not professing any religion. They do what they say.

And o, a lot of our religious clerics (speaking of Christianity) tend to be either criminals or Ogboni. I've heard tales even from core members of the church and I'm like, "I thought these folks are close to God?" Today, they enter church, tomorrow, they meet their juju man.

I hope you're better now. I've left religion a long time ago. My family are very religious, my parents, siblings and even extended. But my strong will not bending to their will make them maintain their lanes. Now, they see me as black sheep of the family, but do I care? I gladly accept that title. I'll rather worship my head, ancestors or traditional God (Olodumare) than worship one imported God from Isreal packaged by the whites.

God is within us, God is not a lover of one country over another. You can imagine if Yoruba had conquer the world, the word God will be used as Olodumare everywhere in the World and Yoruba would have become moat of the official languages in the world. Bro!!!! It is good to be strong willed/stubborn (whatever they call it), it is my strong head that has brought me far today in my life/career.

Parents will always talk but when they see that you have carved a path for yourself, they will ALWAYS give you respect (either they say it in your front or behind you).

I didn't allow my parents' church dictate whatever they wanted for me, funny enough, the Pastor recently called for reconciliation talks after how many years. LOL.🤣 My Mum even gisted me yesterday that the Pastor's wife said she sends her regards to me.

If you allow a religious ruler to dictate what is right or wrong to you, then there's a problem.

It's for this same reason, I cannot marry an overly religious man, not even a pastor.

And no, I'm not Gen Z - You don't have to be in a particular age group to use your brain. I live in the country of the people who introduced Christianity to Nigerians. Less than 7% of them attend churches and less than 50% even identify as a Christian, so it's me - an African man that should be devoted to Christianity, shouting Hallelujah and praying to Jesus Christ? Nope.

Don't write off Christianity just because you don't trust the British people, Britain got Christianity same we got it. Right from when Jesus went up, the gospel has spread to all cities and nations, it first got to the British before it got to us.
The problem with Christianity today is that whatever a man interprets to another person will always be misinterpreted. Many of the early Christians brought emotions, their mindset and way of thinking into the religion making doctrines out of it. For example the way Kumuyi understood the bible and interpreted it affected thousands of his followers for over 45 years, he misunderstood the bible and turned it to doctrine.
As knowledge increases, many will question so many doctrines passed down by men who formed doctrines out of their poor knowledge of the bible.
Btw there are so many Genzs who love God and are serving him with all their hearts, the fact that they are not religiously as foolish as we were, doesn't make them a generation that hates God.
The next generation will search out the real truth about God's words and serve him in truth and in spirit
