Exactly. The squad is still young. Correct me if I'm wrong but I think this 2025 WAFCON tournament was the first major outing for these Super Falcons set collectively (Babajide, Okoronkwo, Ijamilusi, Echegini etc)

They will play more games together and hopefully develop more chemistry instead of just relying on individual brilliance. Plus, we now have a potential beast in Chioma Okafor. Not only might we win the next WAFCON, I can also see us going far in the upcoming Women's World Cup and possibly sneaking into the semis at least.

I was probably one of Justin Madugu's biggest critics before the last tournament, but I will admit the man has impressed me. I noticed he seems to make the right calls, even though he wastes time in doing so. I won't mind him graduating from interim to become the main coach, provided he has a clear plan or agenda for the Falcons in the next 3-4 years at least. If I were NFF president, I'd make certain that he does have a plan, but then again you can't really vouch for NFF when it comes to foresight and quality assurance.
How good is that Chioma Okafor? She's an attacker right?

Guy madugu no sabi shi shi ,if u watch most of the girls interviews including Ashley when asked what actually happened in the dressing room;all of dem had one reply;motivation ..dt it is all or nothing,in fact Ashley stylishly said the coach didn’t say anything in d dressing room..d girls pushed daelves beyond deir limit
Coachee, this is not true. She clearly said that in the second half they had one holding midfielder instead of two so that they can win the ball high up the pitch. That was down to the coach. In other interviews she explicitly said that the coach told them to play high up the pitch and press the Moroccans, make it hard for them to play and that they should play close to each other.

Let's give the coach his flowers. Indigenous coaches like you are the future of our football.

My head never recover from the swelling wey Falcons give me.
That's how finals should be. It should be dramatic. Memorable. Tense. Even if your team lose, the drama go give you small joy. Fans from the two side go enjoy the game. No be say them go just dey wipe you goals woto woto like Chelsea do PSG and PSG do Inter. Such finals are usually a one sided trip

That's what happens when you just open mouth to say things without thinking, no English wey we no use try make people for here understand say these clubs no dey treat our players well and no be entirely their faults say things like this dey happen, but no, everybody wan agend.

As calm as Lookman is, he's now exactly in the same situation Osimhen was in 2023/24 season, as respectful as this his message is to Atalanta administration, go and read the stuupeed comments from Atalanta fans under the post, and I remember one clown here supporting Atalanta and Napoli fans against Lookman and Osimhen respectively sometime ago.
im actually waiting for his template message on how atalanta is right in this situation. E b like say he no dey online

EXCL: Tyrique George wants to leave Chelsea this month with reduced game time… and Bundesliga clubs keen on signing him.

Permanent move also possible; Chelsea prefer to keep George but accept his desire for regular football.

RB Leipzig and Gladbach among clubs keen.

Sorry this doesn't follow. You don't win 5 titles in a row to be told this kind of thing.

Now that Osimhen is sorted, I hope Lokman's gets sorted soon so that we can focus of the assignment in September.

I strongly believe we can still do it.

I have never doubted our chances.

All we need do is get the right combinations in the midfield, and we are winning the remaining games.

How do we qualify if SA goes on to draw with us and win all their matches or even if we win them?

Female football dey sweet ooo. Brazil and Colombia played CONMEBOL final yesterday. It was full of drama. 4-4 apiece at the end of regulation time. Match went to PKs and Brazil clinched it. Charlesemeka85 you dey miss oo.

Elyte89 I'm thinking since men's football is giving you a hard time, why don't you look into female football coaching. Nasarawa has a team I can link you up with oo. Anyway as your Solicitor, I will just go ahead and submit your CV.

We're not talking of prize money but honor.

This is why some of us objected to the gifts, not because it's bad to do but because it is prone to obligations when such feats are matched or surpassed. And when not given, the spiral to screams of maginalization.

Again, D'Tigress conquering Africa 5 times in a row, beating Senegal coached by Otis Hughley who gave us 3 titles? anyone says they are not deserving of the same accolades with the Falcons? The rationale must be better than what you guys are saying

The value we place on basketball is not the same as football. Even in football, the value varies. Basketball is a niche sport in Nigeria. It does not command the mass appeal of football.

And this Falcons own was based on the iconic significance of the win.

Whatever the case, it is entirely within the prerogative of the President to gift them money and national honors.

Maybe we will learn a thing or two about what such motivation means to our sport men and women who often get nothing better than presidential handshake.

Go speak to the US or Canadian Women's national soccer team. Perceived value trumps accolades. Honestly speaking, how big is D'Tigress as a brand in Nigeria? How many of our media houses are even covering them? How many Nigerians even know that we have a women's basketball program?
