Mustiboy:
Some of the phones you guys carry in your hands are expensive than a steam deck, an entry-level gaming laptop, or a home console.

Gaming on smartphones is meant to be casual.
steam deck is 1.2m bro!
And entry gaming laptop is from 800 to 1.2m
PS4 is about 300k not evening talking about ps5 console! And to make the situation worse! Where is light to even play game on a console and pc!

You are talking from a rich man perspective!

If I factory reset the phone.. would that be a good idea?

As for the battery, it's full currently.. no battery history will be in the battery history
You can try that.

I'm far from rich, but I just think it makes more sense to play AAA titles on the systems they're made for if you're that much into gaming.

Whatever smartphone you're going to emulate the games with has to be a high-end one and will be surely expensive.

By the way, the prices you listed up there are exaggerated.

I got my Xbox Series S for as low as 350k, which is equivalent to a PS5. I have a solar setup at home that gives me 24hrs electricity, maybe that's why I don't think much about electricity.

But even then, you can get a steam deck for around 600k if you want to be mobile and still enjoy AAA titles. A laptop housing a GTX 1050 or 1650 is as low as 450k-600k and can play games on low to mid settings.

I just don't see the appeal in playing such big games on a phone, but to each his own sha.

I plan on getting Redmi 14C 8gig variant. The rate I'm seeing people putting the phone up for sale at Facebook marketplace is alarming. Front, right, left, center ni you'll see post regarding Redmi 14 C for sale.

This is giving a kinda bad vibe about the phone. Is the phone peculiar to certain issues that warrants reselling ni abi bawo

I think the Volume rocker should have a replacement.
Good evening bro, my Redmi 12 hangs a bit, if I push the volume button, it takes time before the image disappear, also if I exit from any activity, the exit write up takes time.before it clears.

I don delete so many things for my memory, it's still happening

There's no known issue plaguing the Redmi 14c as far as I know. I believe many people are still ignorant about Xiaomi's naming scheme. Many don't know for instance that getting a Redmi 14c coming from a Redmi note 10 is a downgrade. I even saw a thread here where some persons were insinuating the Redmi note 14 is higher than the Xiaomi 12 the op was trying to sell. The Redmi c series are low end devices, they are the least phones I can recommend. I don’t mean to shade anyone but those are the phones I recommend for our grandparents nowadays. I think some of those trying to offload the phone bought it out of ignorance, that's my point.

Yes of course, the Redmi 14c supports a maximum of 18W. That 33W charger included in the Redmi 14c box, just take it as a freebie just incase you eventually get a device that supports a faster charging speed.

On the 1st paragraph, I totally disagree with you because, appart from the usual start - up message ( yellow or red state) that "...your warranty has been voided.... " on some devices, unlocking bootloader doesn't prevent apps from running. Rather, root access is what restricts some apps from working (talking from experience).

Besides, smartphone brands like Google Pixel, One plus, Samsung and even Xiaomi itself allow for bootloader unlocking on their devices. If that is the case, would you now say such devices won't pass Google attestation?

Again, your assertion in the second paragraph is not correct! I used MTK chip for 15 years before I joined Snapdragon earlier this year, and all the devices (MTK) I used during those periods passed through different tweakings and installation of custom roms. In fact, the introduction of Generic System Image (GSI) made the whole experience much more easier because with it, I kept experimenting with different Images in order to settle for the best among them.

Snapdragon is what I can't say much about at the moment, in terms of tweaking. I be JJC, trying to learn the rudiments of rom modification on the Chip. I'm only waiting for convenient time to unlock my RN13 bootloader.
you don't even know the difference between 'Voiding warranty' and 'passing integrity'. embarassed

Morning boss, I have one to sell if you're interested.
The back glass cracks a little but doesn't affect the phone.
And there's a tiny part of the screen that's not working, if you're not a gamer you might not even notice it, it's the one I'm using to chat you now sef.
I can sell it for 110k negotiable

Xiaomi has officially discontinued bootloader unlocking for older devices, effective August 5, 2025, after decommissioning its old unlocking servers. This change affects a large portion of the Xiaomi portfolio, including the original Mi Mix, all Snapdragon 600 series models, fourth-generation and earlier tablets, the Max series, and smartphones prior to the Redmi Note. The Redmi 6 series and earlier models are also affected. In short, if your device never received HyperOS support, bootloader unlocking is no longer an option.

Affected Device Categories
The server shutdown affects a wide range of older Xiaomi devices. Support for bootloader unlocking has now ended for the first-generation Mi Mix models, all devices with Snapdragon 600 or earlier chips, fourth-generation and earlier tablets, and the entire Max lineup. Users with devices prior to the Redmi Note series are also affected by these restrictions.

That phone is piece of waste. I bought it for my mum and decided to test it. The three apps I downloaded and opened crashed the second time.

It will be good for her but coming from that brand feels like money wasted.

Coming from which brand? Which apps were you trying to download that crashed? If you bought a new phone that crashes apps, you should either update the phone, do a factory reset or both.
