Now, to the topic, it's only Nigerian politicians who are obsessed with power and not service that don't want to release power. If you're truly serving, 4 years of service is enough for you to back out.

When Peter Obi says he'll only do one term, he means he wants to serve and 4 years will be okay. He has a life outside politics.

Abraham Lincoln did not serve just one term—he was elected to a second term but did not complete it due to his assassination.

Here’s a breakdown of his presidency:

First Term: March 4, 1861 – March 4, 1865

Second Term: March 4, 1865 – April 15, 1865 (assassinated by John Wilkes Booth)


Lincoln won re-election in 1864 (during the Civil War) and began his second term in March 1865, but he was killed just six weeks later. His vice president, Andrew Johnson, succeeded him and served the remainder of his term.

So, while Lincoln was elected to two terms, he only served one full term plus a small portion of his second term.

For one thing, you did not keep a single one of your numerous campaign promises as governor of Anambra State.
For another, your record of autocratic leadership style stinks to high heavens.
Also on record, was the manner in which you rigged your way to 2nd term.
Candidly, you will be worse than Obj who vowed to Atiku to serve only one term and hand over to the latter only to rig his way to 2n term and even audaciously attempted a futile 3rd term agenda.
Finally, you have come to be known as a certified liar since the 2023 election campaigns started. Anyone will believe you to their utter regret.
