callthefred:Stop lying. He didn’t do that. It was his right hand man he wanted , can’t remember the man’s name, who would have done a better job but they insisted on Obaino taking over from him . Because he does not believe using power wrongly, he decided to let them have their way. |

JASONjnr:This is the home truth which his supporters are hell bent never to accept. Obi isn't unique in any way. All that squeaky clean record they insist he has is a product born out of a vicious image laundering campaign by his supporters. Obi isn't gonna be a president, not in this country. |

Walai:Ghana that a State in Nigeria is bigger than is what you are using to compare Nigeria. I cannot but accept what that Agbadorian just said. Obi cannot do much as he thinks he can. Even national assembly can even frustrate him if he does not play ball. So he can take longer than one tenure to achieve some certain things. Ask Buhari wetin he see for Saraki eyes. They even veto Obasanjo. Those assemblies are criminals and you think Obi will just come retire them. You must be joking. Like you are not even serious self. Do you know the country you live and the law that governs us. Obi can only set the template for a continued progress for a second term momentum. |

Walai:Retiring old corrupt politicians how? By denying them their right to participate in politics or what? Do you people even listen to yourselves talk? Is it democracy or dictatorship you guys are talking about? |

All focus is on Obi this early morning. Maybe Atiku has decided to call it a day thereby leaving Obi in the saddle as the unified opposition leader. |
| Re: One-term Presidency Is Political Strategy: Arewa Forum Rejects Obi's Pledge by ogascomax: 10:42am On Aug 04, 2025 |
You see why I want this North and South arrangements to scatter. That means any region that votes any candidate that is under performing it will be hard to switch to another option. Let Obi just work with Atiku to dismantle this arrangement so that in future we will know that such sentiment is no longer in effect. also Atiku winning will shorten Obi chance of becoming president otherwise he will wait till 2039 by them he don still turn old man oo. But that Obi will win the next election not in Obi's own dream. |

emirate9:if under 2yrs, yaradua could keep fuel pump price @ low and reversed sales of national asset .. its enough testament that willingness and being intentional is all it takes ... By increasing subsidy payments and the the assets you are talking about are all still moribund. Assuming he allows Dangote to have taken over the NNPC the issue of petroleum industry would have been dealt with a long time ago. Age is no longer on Mandela side, He needs to bond with his family after been out of their Life spending 27 years in prison |

How will a pathological liar like Obi expect people to believe him on a very big issue as president of Nigeria with his track record of being a fantastic liar |
| Re: One-term Presidency Is Political Strategy: Arewa Forum Rejects Obi's Pledge by emirate9: 11:21am On Aug 04, 2025 |
Jd10k:Moribund ?? you must have turned a blind eye on the "IMPACT" ... if today someone said Subsidy is gone and the whole economy is a Mess that should convince you No moribund just that Yaradua.didnt complete what he started .. You cant substantiate moribund on yaruda decisions cos his successors didnt follow up his footprints, that derail led us to moribund If dangote had bought Nnpc over, we wont have a single train 600,000 bpd capacity today, the model of Nnpc refinery would limited Dangote's vision n standard ... If today we have an African leader who is 92yrs pres. biya of cameroon with mental issues, its invalid for anyone to posit a Mandela is unfit as at when he turn down re election If you continue to focus on the smaller pictures you will keep missing the Bigger & clearer picture. you can't defend Tinubu govt @least not via logical |

benuejosh:According to you, Peter Obi is desperate, but the grief master who cried emi lokan in Abeokuta is calm and relaxed. He is calmly stealing us blind. He uses state power to intimidate and blackmail the opposition into joining his party. He remains reaxed and content, which is why he is dismantling opposition parties with the intent to create a one-party state. Even Helinues, Yarimo & co is a manifestation of his calmness and contentment. Btw., when will you finally become desperate about the daily massacre of your people, whom this relaxed president swore to protect?. |

porthouse7:You are 💯% correct. The realisation of Obi that 2027 represents his only slim hope of being President ever is what is behind the nauseating show of desperation we are seeing from him today. Imagine meeting with Sheikh Gumi and Malami? 😳 Whatever next, attending Bello Turji's marriage to his twentieth wife? |

NO PROBLEM! They should manage Tinubu for 4 more years. |

By merely reforming INEC and electoral laws, via making automatic electronic transmission of any single vote cast compulsory under the constitution, 90% of the criminal structures will be dismantled and corrupt politicians retired. FYI, politicians build structures for one reason, to manipulate electoral outcomes. omenka: |

PO says in 4 years, he would have solved ALL Nigeria's challenges because he believes he has the magic wand to turn things around. Based on this self-deluding belief, he now tells Nigerians to give him just this "one chance" in order to take them to El Dorado. Really? Alas! This non-binding agreement is as hollow as it comes. Nigerians can see through his facade of vacuous "holiness" and therefore just shoved the blatant lie back into his throat. When desperation envelopes a man, he can go to any length to promise even the imPOssible! @hotseat |

helinues:Let's be clear, you can't validate me. We're both gladiators in the political arena. Your poorly remunerated portfolio is to attack and denigrate my candidate every day, while mine, even if unremunerated, is to educate you and others about who Peter Obi is, his legacy and his competence. Therefore, it is inevitable that you and your team will come under my crosshair. |
| Re: One-term Presidency Is Political Strategy: Arewa Forum Rejects Obi's Pledge by helinues: 12:08pm On Aug 04, 2025 |
ottersberger:Your own gladiator don't have any records to back yourself up. Or what have you supported in the past that came out of reality? |
| Re: One-term Presidency Is Political Strategy: Arewa Forum Rejects Obi's Pledge by ottersberger(m): 12:14pm On Aug 04, 2025 |
helinues:I supported myself, as you should have done. Earning a PhD at the age of 29 was an investment in myself, and I am profoundly proud of it. It would be foolish to prioritize the interests of others over your own. So, the record you seek is my self-manifestation, with which you are now contending. |

helinues:Thank you for asking. I am doing just fine, and I am also consistently contributing my fair share to the $20 billion that Tinubu receives from the diaspora. I would also like to commend you for maintaining a civil discussion with me this morning. |
