Super Falcons star Asisat Oshoala received a hero’s welcome as she visited Bariga, Lagos, yesterday evening.

As she walked through the streets, excited fans trooped out in large numbers to greet, cheer, and celebrate her. The atmosphere was filled with admiration and pride as locals hailed one of Nigeria’s finest football icons.

Asisat Oshoala is a Nigerian professional footballer who plays as a striker for Bay FC in the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) and the Nigeria national team. She is widely regarded as one of the best female footballers of her generation.

Oshoala has made history as the most decorated African female footballer of all time, having won the African Women’s Footballer of the Year award a record six times.
