Please j notice Stanbic Compounds the interest monthly but other Mmf compounds quarterly. Is there any mmf that compound monthly apart from Stanbic? |
| Re: Mutual Funds by bassdow: 8:14pm On Aug 04, 2025 |
temi4fash:if others have option of automated investments (where a specific amount would be deducted from your bank account and added to your investment), you could still use them and opt for them to pay the interest into your Bank account which you would have set to autoInvest |

eroworld:Thanks. It’s Stanbic I’m using for now. I have had a nice experience so far though. I like their monthly interest reinvestment. I also have fbn quest and united capital, but I’m yet to start using them fully. |

bassdow:I dont understand you |
| Re: Mutual Funds by Preator: 8:09am On Aug 05, 2025 |
Mixology:Stanbic experience is quite good though their monthly reinvestment may not be as financially ok as some mmf that reinvest quarterly due to difference in rates. FBN typically has a higher rates that yields more returns over time compared to stanbic monthly returns. Depending on how much you put, the difference may be significant. I also feel that stanbic rates these days are artificially held at 20.01% cos virtually all the other guys(esp the high interest ones) have been declining. |

Hello my fellow investors, I just downloaded the new version of StanbicIbtc App, very interesting and better than the old one. Please how do I fund my Wallet. I don't want to make any mistake. Thanks |
| Re: Mutual Funds by emmasoft(m): 9:31am On Aug 05, 2025 |
ytdivine:Transfer money from any of your bank accounts to the personalized wallet account number. From the wallet, you can now fund your MMF account. Do it this morning so that you can have today's value; otherwise, it will be tomorrow's value you get. |

Preator:You'd be shocked that stanbic monthly reinvestment is higher than others despite their higher interest rates. You know what? Just do a calculation of what the interest accrued per year would be for stanbic and any other funds manager with a higher interest rate. |

| Re: Mutual Funds by Crossblueart: 4:37pm On Aug 05, 2025 |
Using the app, I funded my FUND WALLET and with i made a purchase of STANBIC IBTC MONEY MARKET FUND. Purchase shows successful but it hasn't reflected on my investment balance. It's been an hour. |
| Re: Mutual Funds by Preator: 6:15pm On Aug 05, 2025 |
nickae:Now at 21.08 |
| Re: Mutual Funds by FRANKLYex: 6:47pm On Aug 05, 2025 |
ogoo4real:This is the actual with STANBIC having factored in their monthly reinvestment scheme.
|
| Re: Mutual Funds by FRANKLYex: 6:49pm On Aug 05, 2025 |
nickae:The missing dates are probably the weekends or other public holidays. the average of those days is reported in the next reporting date. the highlighted yellow cell at the top represent the cumulative average for the quarter. |
| Re: Mutual Funds by FRANKLYex: 6:58pm On Aug 05, 2025 |
nickae:Yes, I also track cowry despite the fact that they are the most transparent in terms of reporting. I just don't understand why other MMF can not have a transparent reporting platform as cowrywise. Whatever they report is what you get real time. Please note my cowrywise account level is Bloom. So the returns are for High yield investment

| Re: Mutual Funds by ogoo4real: 9:28pm On Aug 05, 2025 |
FRANKLYex:What about Axamansard mmf. How is their interest rate like? |
| Re: Mutual Funds by FRANKLYex: 9:35pm On Aug 05, 2025 |
ogoo4real:I don't do Axamansard really. I only do STANBIC, ARM & CIWRYWISE. I used to do Chapel Hill Denham but their rates is the lowest over time, so I have to take my fund. |
| Re: Mutual Funds by FRANKLYex: 9:37pm On Aug 05, 2025 |
chuxmgc:The same way you have been investing with others. Do your findings and proceed. Everything is in the web sapce |
| Re: Mutual Funds by Elui2(m): 11:47pm On Aug 05, 2025 |
I just checked now and saw that stanbic MMF fell to 19.65% |
| Re: Mutual Funds by Inception(m): 6:36am On Aug 06, 2025 |
FRANKLYex:Thanks for this. Just a little clarification needed, How is the compounding like, following the breakdown you shared? For instance if I consider the interest per month, we are looking at 1.7-1.73% per month. In the event i decide to to make contributions consistently every month, will the interest ( 1.7% ) be compounded every month likewise for the Principal + contribution? |

| Re: Mutual Funds by Neurotika: 8:54am On Aug 06, 2025 |
Let me say this again for those at the back: stop fixating on compounding frequency when evaluating which fund to invest in. You should only start comparing compounding frequency when the rates are nearly identical, or when the fund with monthly compounding offers a slightly better rate. But the moment a quarterly compounding fund offers even a 1% higher rate, it will easily outperform the monthly one. So instead of fixating on how often interest is compounded, focus on what really matters: What’s the actual rate of return? How consistent is the fund’s performance? What are the fees and terms? These are the things that truly shape your returns, not the technicalities of compounding schedules. Just my two cents |
| Re: Mutual Funds by Inception(m): 10:49am On Aug 06, 2025 |
Neurotika:Thank you for your submission on the topic. Actually i am a greenhorn on this, and to be frank my question is regardless who offers the best rate of return ( based on the highlighted). I only want to know how the compounding is usually done as a base case. Of course there will be fees and other outcomes beyond predictability, which I will be ready to embrace once ready. |
