I was advised to defer. That my bank statement should be six months to strengthen my finances with the living cost + ticket money inside. So I am waiting to submit my application. They also worked on my SoP with me. All through the session my mouth was open in shock and surprise. Like I said the IDP guys are good, but since NZ is not popular they would be slip ups but that's why the schools always partner them with their LIA's (well the school that I am applying to does that). |

Sorry for choking mouth, but the LIA I worked with recommends that the primary applicant finish with their studies before bringing their families with a psw visa that they would apply for, but if its a PhD level study, because of the length of the PhD it is reasonable for one to want to be with their family. How much did you pay the LIA pls. I wouldlove to book a consultation. CalabarSamurai: |
| Re: General New Zealand Student Enquires by CalabarSamurai(m): 2:42am On Aug 03, 2025 |
I didn’t pay, it’s the school that linked me up with the individual (the LIA) via the schools representative because Nigeria’s approval rate is low, so no direct contact. I don’t even know the name of the LIA’s company. So when you’re applying, find out if the school does that service for its Nigerian applicants. TOBERO23: |

Hello Calabarsamurai, Some people are impersonating you. We need to be careful on this thread. He was telling me the LIA want to collect 13k and he will add me to a group. I have attached the mail he sent to me. CalabarSamurai:

Thank you TOBERO23 for bringing this to my attention. The blood of Jesus ! Please let me make a public disclaimer here, DO NOT PAY ANY MONEY to anyone claiming to be a Licensed Immigration Adviser (LIA) either here in Nigeria or based in New Zealand. I repeat do not make any payment to anyone claiming to be a Licensed Immigration Adviser. I don't know about other visa types, but for study visa, you can ask the school's representative if they offer the service of an LIA especially since Nigeria has a low approval rate (please do this via their official email on the school's website). As for the person impersonating me in an attempt to defraud people, if you have collected any money, you will use it to continually treat sicknesses of varying degrees, not even a sachet of pure water will you use that money to buy to have a drink. Repent and return any money you have collected ! However, if anyone decides to go ahead and gets duped after reading this disclaimer, please you do so at your own risk. Again thank you TOBERO23 for bringing this to my attention. TOBERO23: |

Good day everyone. Thanks for all your contributions. Please I have some questions bothering me to ask the group. My BSC degree is in performing Arts (Nigeria) with a cgpa of 3.10 and my master program in Business Management (uk) with commendation. My work experience is in healthcare sector. Please can I apply for a phd program in New Zealand in an healthcare course based on my work experience or can I get an admission to do another master in healthcare program in New Zealand ![]() Please I need your input on this or any advice you can give me and how to go about it. Please I need an advice🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏 I really want to relocate to New Zealand |
| Re: General New Zealand Student Enquires by CalabarSamurai(m): 2:43pm On Aug 05, 2025 |
I would recommend a Master of Health Management (A masters in Business Management + Work experience in the Healthcare sector should be enough justification in your SoP) You can't do a PhD based on work experience, your previous Masters has to align with the PhD you want to do. Luckily for you the health sector is in-demand in NZ. All the best! Kels4real5663: |

| Re: General New Zealand Student Enquires by CalabarSamurai(m): 5:08pm On Aug 05, 2025 |
The question should be is your occupation in demand, if I recall correctly I think I saw internal and external auditor on the green list… you may want to check that out. The green list is NZ equivalent of In-demand occupations, just to add this. I will limit this to the study visa, it is advisable to study what is on the green list. All the best! completed: |

Hello everyone, Please as suggested by one of the members here for me to go for my second master in health management, I have google search schools that offers the course but all I see is diploma in healthcare management. Please I don’t want to go for diploma because I have dependents that would follow me. Please anyone with the idea of any university offering healthcare management as MSC in New Zealand?? Please your response would be appreciated. Thanks so much |
