They do use a huge log of wood to force you to either slow down or stop completely. Almost had similar experience from Taraba to Onisha some years ago as a youth corper. The driver went off the road to narrowly dodge the wooden impediment.

A newbie on that route would have thought it is the police. However the police and army also employ the same tactics, the reason why even pro drivers could get confused as to who they might be slowing down for.

14 times 10million . That’s 140 million Naira in a short time . If they execute this 10 times a year that’s 1.4 billion Naira . This is why kidnapping cannot stop until the government mandates public execution of convicted kidnappers . Knowing you will die a shameful public death will be a huge deterrent for people who want to start kidnapping as a business .

They are Tivs, I grew up in Taraba and I know what they can do. They've kidnapped my uncles before. Funny thing is just like the narrator the people living in those villages know them very well. Is Gana their former leader not TIv? Fulani won't be that bold to kidnapped along a TIv dominated area.
